I'm confused. Are you posting pics of WinXP, red hot pokers, or your mother-in-law?

Pics from Yellowstone. No post processing aside from croping a couple. Need to do a little CaptureNX magic on a couple for some very cool finished images. 17MB RAW files FTW!

Took a few pictures tonight, really dont know how to use my new lens Justin told me to get. Its a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8
It seems that most of the pictures ended up blurry, not sure what to do to fix that user error.
Oh, I ended up taking off the emblems today. I think it looks cleaner, and more symmetrical.

Car looks good parker. 325? 328? Oh no...330!

With the 50mm...you have to make sure you watch your focus point. My 35mm is the same way. Items in the picture that aren't at the same distance away from the lens turn up blurry. (call it shallow focus depth?) The one hand and face is in focus...but the other is blurry just a couple of inches back. The second one is just the opposite.

So when taking a picture of your car from the back...the taillight can be in focus, and it's going to be more blurry towards the front of the car. I'd probably use it for close up detail shots only...may be difficult to use otherwise...but that's just me. I also don't know what settings you're using.

It's a great low-light lens (as you can see with your dusk pictures). Awesome for portraits so you don't need to use the flash and wash out the picture and/or background.

As with any lens...just use it a bunch and figure out the cool features of it. But it'll definitely shoot much differently than your kit lens (focus depth) and waaaaay different than a point and shoot (where everything is always in focus once you're back 10 feet)

Nate, nice pics of the little one.

Jeff, I see you are still bringing us down, step your game up.

I know that only a tiny bit of the picture will be in focus, but it seems that nothing is in focus, it may be my camera, or it could be just the distance. Oh well, still learning.

Admit it, you just didn't want it saying "xi" on the back end.
