All part of the game I know. Sometimes I think maybe its the equipment, but then, I still end up with a FEW good ones, so I'm left to think it's just the wrath of the Photo Gods

Nothing left to do, but try harder the next time! At least I have something to do on weekends.
You know, that's why my 7D2 hasn't been touched since my 5D MkIV arrived. In comparison, the 5D4 is much more consistent, particularly with the TC.

However, that said, the atmosphere can have surprising impact and ruin a whole day's shoot. Sometimes I can shoot hundreds of yards away and get perfectly sharp image and on other days 50-yards is a challenge. There's nothing to be done when it's atmosphere.

It was in the 90's today, so I just stayed home and enjoyed my backyard.

Ed,
Yes it was hot so we went here but it is still hot. Back tomorrow though, will miss the high 80s and breeze. St Thomas.
Wierd fascination with California wines here.
Real pics might come depending on how they develop.

Kevin, beautiful view of St. Thomas. That looks familiar. Is it from The Ritz?

Nope, Marriott. We can trade into the Ritz but it isn't really our style. Yesterday got some nice ones of Pelicans working inshore and the local birds sitting on their backs waiting for a snack. Maybe some diving shots

I got married there (on the beach at Frenchman's Reef/Morning Star) 10 yrs ago. Nice place, we had a lot of fun.

Josh,
A good choice over there with that big beach there. We went ocer there to look at it and take pictures of all the green iguanas running around but didn't like all the stairs and long walk back to the car.
At rhe Cove we park at the building and have a nice kitchen. The color scheme of the buildings is cute too.

Nice! I don't come across too many Bostons. Tobi is 3.5 years old and awesome.....too smart for his own good, but lots of personality. He's my first dog since I was a little kid and I have no regrets. Bostons are a great breed although I think mine is 50% Boston and 50% chicken.

My usage of 700mm almost seems like cheating, now!

Great shot.

Ahh the Iguanas. My (step) daughters were dropping rose petals in front of their mom while she was walking 'down the aisle' on the beach to me for our service. The Iguanas were running between the girls and my wife gobbling up the rose petals as she was walking. Fun memory.

Great shot.
A little cheating on my part too - - - there was sizable crop involved.
Fortunately the 90mm is the sharpest lens I own - - sharp across the entire frame at all f-stops.

Josh,
Yup, they should have warned you about that. I bet they were red petals too, I think they prefer that color and I guess they weren't too worried about the Iguanas as you seem to have finished the wedding.

Did someone mention photos of green Iguanas? Photo of a juvenile I took last week on the beach, Papagayo Peninsula, Costa Rica.

I guess the babies are bright to hide in the foliage and looks like rocks later. Lots of wildlife in Costa Rica? I heard they have really crazy humming birds I think.

Yeah, they do have lots of interesting wildlife. My wife and I went for our honeymoon back in November and saw a few types of monkeys, iguanas, and tons of beautiful birds.

Nice. Wishing you guys a long one. I tell everyone a murder sentence is less than the time I've been married.
