I'm assuming it's because they're running behind. A couple people I know who've gotten flashes there have had major problems and have spent the whole day there.

Let us know how it goes.

Ugh - now I find out I've got a belt tear and can't run the dyno (not Checksum's fault obviously and I appreciate the caution). I'm going to have the flash installed but I won't have documented variances to share and I won't even be able to air it out on the way home.

Appt for 9:20 tomorrow at Knauz to replace the belt/pulley. Luckily I talked to the SA there yesterday (Gus) and he is cool with the mods.

This has been a frustrating day to say the least.

Damn man sorry to hear about all that. How long have you had the car, and how many times has it been in for unscheduled maintenance? Just curious.

Ok, so the ride home was fun. Noticeable difference. I'm not technical so bear with me. Coming from a G35x, the car used to feel fast and like it was pulling (or pushing in the case of a RWD) me before, it feels even moreso now.
The AT shifting seems smoother. Definitely feels more aggressive and robust particularly at lower RPMs.

Went to the end of Clowcreek Rd after install, let it sit for a second in idle then floored the pedal....OMG!

So here is my take away....price is right, benefit is noticeable. Tony at Checksum is honest and noticeable. I hope that my scheduling snafu was an isolated instance.

When I get my intercooler and down pipes (brand/price suggestions on either?) Tony will upgrade me to Stage 2 for $100. At that time we will reflash back to stock, put it on the dyno for a baseline and do one after the upgrade.

I am only sorry that I don't have hard numbers to share...rough start to the day, but it all worked out in the end. And I should have my Volks by next weekend. Went with the Hankook's. They come with nice centers, so I am leaving those. I am adding black matte grilles and CF roundels.

Nice, glad you like it. I believe the dyno'd Nebster's car close to 350/350 at the wheels with stage 1 so you should be right around there.

Had the car a matter of weeks. Bought it as a CPO. Only been in for bubbles in tire (Friday), and headlight alignment (Monday). Going back tomorrow (belt). I'm spending too much time at Knauz. Good thing I only work 10 mins away.

I still love the car though.

So, its my anniversary next week. My wife texts me today to ask about a last minute weekend trip to Boston. I say great, you paying?

She says its our anniversary. In my head I'm running some numbers....LET Flash, wheels, tires, grilles, roundels, tints...again (out loud) I ask, great, you paying?

For the record, I am having the new patio set she wanted delivered on Friday. Hopefully with her spending time on the patio, she won't go into the garage to notice the changes to the car! Finance Committee no likey!

What? Switch the 5 and 0 around. Stage 1 was only like 40-50 to the wheels, right? I thought he posted a dyno sheet somewhere.

Woohoo... just got my insurance check for my accident... gonna get the bumper resprayed and maybe pick up some minor stuff, to fix up the car before I sell it. Gotta get new interior trims, since the CF wrap ones I have are falling apart.

I live in Madison at the moment but yes I'm from Glenview but no not from Indian Ridge. I live on the poor side of town where the houses are only $500,000 and not $1,000,000.
