My TNT is also on its way from YHZ. Why don't you make your own KD like I did for lunch? Much healthier.

Mine just arrived...

My bestie was stuck in a major accident near the Halifax airport and had to be re-routed via the back roads in order to re-join the highway. It added almost 2½ hours to her trip. But she's here safe and sound,

Tabbouleh!

One of my all time favorites, haven’t had it in a while. Baked-fresh Chaldean flatbread, I was standing there when they pulled it out of the oven today!

Fresh mango for dessert.

One change this time is freekeh in place of bulgur. I am out of bulgur and have some freekeh on hand. Both are wheat, simply different forms. Freekeh is young green wheat, fire roasted and uncracked. It has a fresh and smokey flavor and fits well in tabbouleh.

Today’s tabbouleh was seasoned with EVOO, fresh lemon juice, s&p and generous cumin. Garnished with pepperoncini and kalamata olives.

Indian rice and lentil stew. Basmati rice and moong dal lentils stewed with onions, garlic, tomato, green chile, aubergine and a litany of whole and ground spices. Nice warm comfort food. Fresh mango for dessert!
