As Rmtt said above, I'm curious where you started. I'm running with L7/Harmon Kardon metal cone mids and tweeters and I feel like the highs aren't bad!

interesting. I never thought the l7 factory setup was bad. Is it a noticeable increase in sound quality? I'll be honest, factory L7 stuff is probably the nicest stereo I own. |

I'm guessing you're responding to the previous poster, but if you're asking me, I can say with certainty that the L7/HK metal cone speakers are miles and miles better than the dull/muddy crappy sound that comes from the base stereo and "HiFi" system.

Finally finished installing my coolant expansion tank after breaking the upper expansion hose as well. All good to go now!

not for what I want out of this car.
I didn't want to sacrifice ride comfort for performance capabilities I'd never use. I routinely drive a thousand miles in a weekend for funsies. the ST/KW offering is essentially just what it should have been from the factory. factory strut tops. and rubber isolators and such. I got it all aligned today and at the current ride height it's maxed out on the camber adjustment up front. Just barely in spec. I guess I mathed right. car drives great. firmer, yet less harsh. obviously I'm comparing brand new parts to 150K mile worn out trash. |

Decided that since my car hit 150k, I should replace the thermostat and water pump. Did that today and decided to install my EGR race pipe while I had the cooler out. Had to leave my EGR valve plugged in and zip ties out of the way to avoid limp mode but she made it home without issue. Maybe this will force me to finish my deletes and tune sooner than later.

New fuel pressure regulator. The hardest part of the entire job is getting the fuel pump rings off and back on again. They're really finnicky, and the fuel tank vent line really gets in the way.
Took about an hour and a half taking my time. Not too bad of a job. Huge thanks to VehicularDIY. I got paid for the job, too. 83 cents, a dead AAA battery, two screwdriver bits, a random metal bracket and washer. |
