Having a high oil temp , most of the time, is a late indication of coolant system issue.

Some people refer to oil temp before WOT a turbo car, but imo this is pretty much useless.

My F25 N55 got a oil temp gauge from factory. -10°C and less or around 0°C with rain, I can do 40km ride on the highway and the gauge didn't move a bit.

because I have issues and if I'm going to code it to a temp gauge it better be a proper temp gauge.

Drove around for 15 minutes trying to figure out what this sucking sound is when I accelerate....it drops in intensity above about 1/3 throttle.

I assume vacuum leak.

strip more wheels.
replaced my cabin filter.
it was atrocious with leaves and what not sucked up under it.
replaced the engine air filter as well, cause I can't remember the last.

I need to service the transmission, and I'm 50K+ miles into brakes, so that's probably gonna need done soon too.

just ordered a powerstop front/rear brake kit on amazon.

wait for it.

$81.

no idea why so cheap, but if anyone's looking for brakes, best hit amazon right meow to see if you can get on the algorithms mistake.
pads/rotors/hardware/wear sensors all in cluded.

They are not the coated rotors
but for that price I will paint the hats myself.

link provided.

it's the full kit.

it's not the high end brakes, but for daily driver it'll be fine. I'm not into slotted/drilled rotors and such anyhow.
Coated rotors would have been nice and I was shopping them, but $81.
I can get some high temp paint and spend an hour painting some rotors.

same kit at jegs is $270
https://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stor...rsistYmm=false

I've used the powerstop stuff before and never had any problems. So I'll roll the dice for $80.

Coded the inner halogen lights to come on steady with the HID high beams (they still function as the flasher beams as well ). Extra light at night is ALWAYS a good thing... of course, now I need to replace the ugly factory yellow hue H7 bulbs with some white ones to match the HIDS, LED Angel Eyes, and fogs.

Cheers!

edit:I just clicked the link and it says one more left.

Thank you!
Just ordered a set. Don’t need it right now but for that price, I’ll hold onto them.
It is still showing them in stock. I might order a second set.

Now if only I could find a set that cheap for the N54.

Edit. Now they are back up to $290.

like I said, as soon as the stock level goes up they go back to normal price.

when amazon only has one or two of something left the pricing algorithm drops the price so they can clear out inventory.

I figure they figure the warehouse space is worth more.

I don't know.

but that's how you score unheard of deals on amazon.

Very interested in this, is there a tutorial you can link? and what bulbs would work to replace the yellow?
