Understand about progress but as said above when comparing to existing upgrades with every tech edge imaginable it has proven to not get you any further in application. It is best to put the effort/cost into other aspects of the turbos (ie. complete CHRA replacement which is only found in ASR/TD2/RB, use the best wastegate components for anti-wear which we have and with great success, use very precision machining techniques, etc). These are the things that functionally matter. RB's have seen numerous cars above 520rwhp, and a ported head car making over 550rwhp, and nearly all of them making north of 450rwhp. Not bad for a easy bolt on solution in these tiny housings.

In the past years I have considered any and all possibilities for improvement and when weighed all out none are really going to be worth anything aside for modifying the housings. However that means all the great things about them (easy bolt on, oem appearance, reasonable cost, using most to all existing OEM turbo plumbing, near stock drivability, etc) go out the window.

All of that said, progress to me is realizing when a dead horse is beat and then making a wider product line that offers what I feel the masses will want or need. So now I am working on a full N55 turbo ST upgrade that will be using an Borg Warner EFR turbo.

Thanks,
Rob

I suppose what i'd like to see you do is progress, innovate and improve. You already pioneered the market, but you need to keep going to stay ahead. Companies like blackberry/RIM pioneered the smart phone world, but look at them now going extinct.

The N55 solution we are designing will have provisions in place to work on a N54 as well. However, it will take the future aspired O2 sensor N54 DME logic reconfigs to actually function properly- which may or may not ever happen... but if so it will be pretty sweet. Other than that we really do not think there is a good middle ground between hybrids and the ST. That is aside some other manufacturer developing a high performance complete TT turbo fold which would cost a fortune in development that likely would take very long to see a return on. Therefore the ST market is where it is at IMO, whether Vishnu/FFTEC or Independently developed. The TT Stage 3 as prototyped has far too many unknowns, it will be interesting to see how that all pans out if ever actually released.

_ink,

It is very hard to ever get results from the competition, but fortunately some were found today. It is not fair to extract too much from a single vehicle as it could have a number of issues that makes it perform poorly (or like a stock turbo car that is)... but this vehicle does have the other camps Stage 2 setup and also with the Billet GTX 11 blade compressors and thrust upgrade yet it is still very underwhelming. RB cars setup like this one usually trap 5+ more MPH, all on obsolete technology...

Varga's approach leaves very little to desire for, i don't like his business approach (or lack there of) and his attitude towards the competition. But i must give him merit for trying new things in the quest to become the best in the market. This alone should give you the motivation to make sure he doesn't

Yeah, should be a walk in the park for you!

I just sent a message to a customer who posted up on other forums last month about his first trip to the track on RBs... trapping 127mph on RBs 17psi. See if he minds posting it up over here as well.

Unlike some others out there you do not need my permission to post results, I enjoy seeing them with everyone else. If you feel up to it, post away!

RB's turbos were well respected in the 3000GT VR4 community, had a single turbo VR4.

Thanks. I learned so much from the 3S world it is amazing. Cool platform, and I do actually still do work over there as well just much less these days.

Just goes to show you that the decisions of the build go no where in application, when there are other things to consider. It is the right combination of components selected that will set the benchmarks.

Yeah the old website was something tossed together pretty quick. So much goes on through email, calls, pms, etc... that it really was of no value. I'm hoping through this website it can handle much of the administrative homework to free up more time. As for your RBs, you'll be a happy dude in a bit!

Everything breaks on my car.. besides my RB's ... in 1000 year they will find two RB's and 4 tyres... the rest will be vanished lol...

Good stuff and perfect for my 500Whp DD. So much fun playing with M's and Porsches on the highway. As stated before, my local turbo expert was extremely impressed with the RB update over stock.
