your next step is to clean out the carbon build up.

I feel defeated. Again, BMW NA, did not want to work with me at all.
I'm buying a '07 335 that was originally serviced by Braman BMW. Injectors were changed in 2010 and car has 20k miles since then. Should I be concerned?

I've got a misfire on cylinder 5 after installing JB4 running Map 1. I was doing a WOT pull when all of a sudden the car started shaking and I got a CEL. I immeadately changed to map 0 with no difference car kept shivering when i touched the gas. When I restarted everything was fine. The question I have is if I put the car in Map 0 now and pull out the JB4 and take it to the dealer will they see only the misfire code or would there be any other codes that indicate a tune? I want them to investigate the misfire, I havent gotten my plugs changed yet under the service plan! (Only 23000 miles (37000kms) on the car)

I started a thread, but not getting much for responses. I have a missfire in one cylinder. Replaced plugs, coil and injector. Same code. If it was carbon, wouldn't it be accross all cylinders not just one? I am lost and need some guidance.

When does the misfire occur? At idle or wide open throttle at what RPM?

does it occur on pump gas or with meth?
Did you try changing maps ?

If it was at or near idle I would think it might be something more fuel related like hpfp or lpfp. Sometimes you would have other codes.

How did the plugs look when you removed them?

I'm assuming your injectors were coded properly?

Plugs looked great. I just put them in about 2k miles ago. But pulled them to check. Color is good, condition is good.

I am not sure it is the fp. If it was multiple cylinders and codes, but I am getting one code for one cylinder. Well I am getting two codes. 10703 and 11170. But I get 11170 all the time and for no clear reason and no one seems to know what it means. I am getting ready to leave the car on the side of the road.

That does sound annoying.

Have you tried resetting adaptations? I never heard of 11170 code either.

I have not tried that yet. Worth a shot. I may pull the intake manfold and look at what kind of carbon build up I have...but I find it hard to believe it is only one cylinder that would be impacted.

Took my 535 in today for misfire on cylinder 3 that I could not resolve with a new coil or plug. Got word the injector is definitely bad but they are also looking into replacing the cylider head.

Had the car in last week for a misfire on cyl 3. they replaced all 6 spark plugs and put a new injector put in cyl 3. driving today and low and behold, misfire cyl 3. swapped coilpacks to see if the misfire would follow, still cyl 3.

any clue what else it could be? I'd be shocked if it was carbon buildup, as I only have 35k on my 335 and have been running meth for almost 15k of that.. the only code being thrown is 29CF. no HPFP/LPFP related codes so I'm not sure where to go from here... I'll bring the car in next week but any advice would be helpful in the meantime!

heys guys, getting somewhat consistent misfire/limp mode while wot 3rd-4th gear 3k rpms
plugs were changed 6k miles ago along with injectors and hpfp. I have 63k miles without a carbon cleaning, would that be the culprit? anyways i will post some codes when im back in town tomorrow.

Misfire on Cyliner 5 ONLY with tune in the car, no code when tune is out. I have JB3(pulling it again today to do JB4 upgrade.) I am confused why the misfire only on hard pulls, with software, but I can go hard with no tune and not throw a code. What gives?!?
