I have a 335i and am working with Harold..planning to do all the M3 suspension bits front and rear, M3 sways front and rear, rear subframe bushings, OS Giken LSD, and Swift/AST coilovers..Harold recommends the spring rates you are running 400/800, but i was thinking taking a step down to 350/700 only b/c I live in NY with crappy roads and the cars is gonna be primarly street driven.

Can anyone comment on whether 400/800 to be a decent ride comfort wise..I dont mind a stiffness but worried about how its gonna feel when hitting bumps/potholes?

Any feedback would be great..THX

Dinan springs on (Old) BMW performance Suspension

Any of you tried Dinan springs on (old) BMW performance suspension. He does say that the front is going to be lower to complement the rear height so its something i am curious about. Thanks

Is the LCI 335d base (non perf pack) suspension the same suspension as the gasoline version?

Just had Sport Shocks/Springs installed on my base E90 yesterday. So yeah, all you need are the shocks and springs. If you want to go full ZSP, I think the sway bars need to be changed too. Not 100% on that though.

Is it possible to use that suspension setup on an LCI E90 XI?

Looking for testimonials from those with KW v1, v3 or H&R coilcovers on an E92xi.

I want to lower the xi an inch or so while improving performance of my daily driver, wihout making the ride any rougher.

Anyone?

Subscribed. Which coilovers would not only lower the car, but provide the best ride quality? After searching, I've narrowed it down to the PSS9s or the KW Street Comfort.. anyone else have any opinions? I commute average 36 miles a day and I'm getting sick of my bumpy OEM sport suspension.. want something more comfortable.

BC Racing coilovers

Anybody try these? $999.00 and free shipping

http://www.bcracingsuperstore.com/pr...-05-up-bmw-e90

My friend has it on his 09' WRX and he says it's hands down the best bang for the buck and is comparable to top level competitors.

I recently installed the AST 4100's. If you are not considering these you are missing out. They are now available for the xi. The ride is very close to stock just a bit firmer on the softest setting. then you can firm them up for the track. Amazing quality and they can be re-valved if you have issues. Probably the best coils on the market.

I have Bilstein's HD and Eibach pro-kit springs. The ride is a little harsher but performance is 2 times better so its definitely worth it. I think this combination makes your car handle better than with Bilstein sports because they have the same compression ratio but HD's are longer so they are compressed more with lowering springs. And yes i checked this combination is acceptable and doesn't wear out the shocks faster.

Everyone complains about these springs. Don't know why people continue to buy them.

Cant make my mind up on which coils to get. FK's, KW's, Sonic Tuning, or ST's ??? I want to go low but still have comfort. Cant find too many reviews on the FK's but seems that not all wheels fit.

Just a word of experience here:

The ride comfort is determined by about 80% from the rear and only 20% from the front.

As a side note: I love the ZCP on my E90 for a daily driver and occasional auto-x event. The car rides comfortably on the pothole ridden streets of Chicago and yet remains planted and predictable on autox events.
