That sounds odd. Which "stock file" are you flashing? There's one that was an unmodified 330i file I was using for testing, I think I will remove that - but you should be able to start with the stock 330i file (downloaded as .bin), modify it and then upload it so you can get the batch flash. What happens if you flash the stock ZB#? My wife took the E90 on a road trip, so I can't test it myself right now.

Did you use something like tunerpro or built your own mappacks in winols?

No, I don't use winols. Most of it is my own software, but I do sometimes use TunerPro because my own program isn't ready yet.

Flashed 330i tune and swapped one of my 3 stage manifolds with refreshed disas in this forum member's e92 m sport. At first it ran weak while throwing codes for all 4 o2 sensors, we checked the connectors and all and the codes stayed then we reset adaptations and the codes went away for now it seems. The car still has a SES with no codes except for the 2fa3 which my car has too and shouldn't trigger the light. The car began to run way better after resetting and I hope it gets to how it should be after a bit of driving.

Is the service engine light on normal after resetting adaptations? Is resetting engine adaptations required for the car to run right after the tune/swap I didn't do it on mine and have had no issues.

Neither did I at all but I didn't reset anything. Reminds me of my N54 days when you'd have an SES and no codes. I think it'll go away though since the car is driving much better now without codes.

So in short, is this tune recommended for non 3SIM'd cars as well?

And DISA codes for no DISAs actually present will remain in the system until they are installed with 3SIMs?

You'll get disa codes for them missing but nothing else. I had it on my car without the manifold for a while and it was noticeably better

I wouldn't recommend doing it without the 3IM installed. So even with a adaptation reset you got a SES? And we didn't mean SAS, right? Cause SAS happens sometimes and you just reset it.

But more to point, after codes were cleared you still had the SES light?

I had it without the 3 stage it ran very good of course I understand it's not ideal for what it's tuned for. The car has a service engine soon light after resetting adaptations but no codes in the DME at all except for the one you get with the 330i tune. The 4 o2 codes went away. The light wouldn't go away by clearing. I'll check with him in a few days and scan the car again

I am running the 330i tune without the DISA manifold installed in my 2006 325xi. I have better power, faster revving sharper throttle response and significantly better torque And NO CEL or SES lights.

I will (hopefully) have the time to to install the manifold this week (need to inspect and test the DISA valves first, before pulling the single stage manifold)

Just came across this thread and starting poking around on bimmerlabs website too. Thank you E92William for posting the video (i too would have shat a brick seeing those errors come up!) and hassmaschine for the website and support. Are there any tunes available for the 330i to delete out O2 sensors? I'm considering going catless in the next little bit since I'm reaching that mileage where they need to be replaced.

Hey hassmaschine Did you do something new to MSV80 3IM ver 0.9.07? I got the new IAT installed and went to reflash the NoMAF version. Saw that there was a new version 0.9.07 (from my original 0.8.97) and when everything was done and I had cleared the mass trouble codes...I noticed I hadn't gotten the 2FA3 code. Not that it wasn't a big deal to clear once we knew how (or that it was a real problem to begin with), but interesting that it doesn't come up.

...or is that just some sort of personal site update marker and I just got a weird placebo effect :P

I've tried both stock files back when they were up for the 330. I used a bimmergeeks cable this time around and it's still the same unfortunately.

RSA Delete followed by stock flash (7623405) and it still results in a crank no start. I'm not the one to say anything about it but its similar to a checksum error.

For the tune file I created, I used WinOLS to find hex addresses for specific maps I want and port it over to tunerpro on an xdf I created. I normally work on MSD80/81 so it's pretty similar terminology.

If i use the vanilla winkfp without any batch flashes, I would have to flash the stock ZB# 2-3 times in order for the car to fire up. It must be flashed at least 2 times even though the first flash goes through without any error.

Note: I don't believe it's my tune file as the car still won't start up even with batch flashing the stock file.

When I was trying to do the RSADelete, WinFPK crashed. Now my car will crank, but not start. Am I able to recover from this or did I just brick my car?

everything is recoverable.

post the error messages you sent me, but I responded in the PM with the instructions to import the datens into winkfp, which is what your errors are related to.

basically winkfp doesn't know how to talk to the module because the datens aren't installed correctly.

I replied to your pm. I just flashed the stock dme with winkfp and it started again. I still have the 3.0i loaded on my Z4. I will soon try updating again to the 3.0si file as I want my full 255hp .
The only issue I'm still having with the zed is inpa doesn't display the zusb numbers for any modules in case it fails to flash.

It sounds like I can flash the stock tune with WinFPK and the car should be ok? Are there any issues with this as the RSA Delete crashed while flashing?

I will try this out later today, just do not want to keep going down a further rabbit hole and creating more problems.

Am I reading into the wrong thing? You sure you have the right file? Maybe just leave this in the other thread.

EDIT: I see it worked out in the other thread. Glad to hear it.
