Thank You for all of this important information. Is there a PDF with expanded information?

It's my understanding that they should, but I'll let someone else chime in whether or not for sure. I was under the impression that these are recalled items that BMW is aware of and will replace for free no questions asked, no?

It was working up to few days into 2011, Jason any idea what's up? Was the serve changed..... or BMW is trying to be even more "secret" as with price pdfs.

iive been getting misfires and 'service engine' lights and i cant seem to track down the TSB for it how do the TSBs work though? its basically a non-public recall right? if your car has the issue stated in the TSB, BMW performs the work free-of-charge no questions asked right?

You can access the bulletins, troubleshooting, and tech information on the BMW TIS site. It costs $30 for a 24 hour membership but you have access to every bulletin and more. They have changed the site so you can no longer link to bulletins nor can you copy and paste bulletins from the site. Seems the only way to get the information is to print it or screen print.

It is actually the system that the dealerships use to diagnose and service the cars. The programs, the ecu software versions, the troubleshooting and diagnostic steps and all kinds of interesting stuff.

Well I can say they are charging me $50 copay on CPO for a service engine soon light, when they said it wasnt my thermostat, code P0128, and the SA said there is a TSB to reprogram the Computer but its costing me the copay.
I get my car this monday, should I bitch about it?

BMW has locked it down tighter. They moved the TIS to Centernet which requires a id number issued from BMW. Like an employee or dealer id. Cant join for 24 hours anymore so I do not know where to get copies of the bulletins. This is BMW trying to keep the public from the bulletins and that makes me nervous.
