Hahaha sorry! It didn't even cross my mind. I was so overjoyed that they just fit without rubbing the fenders that I didn't even think to turn the wheels. Anyway, I will push my luck next weekend and see what happens. At least going down to 235/35 is an option.

OK, I did some research.

My current set-up (245 on 19x8.5 ET40) almost rubs the liner / oil cooler grill on full lock. The gap is maybe the thickness of my pinky finger.

The ZCPs are 19x9 ET31. According to this calculator, and comparing the two, I see that the ZCPs will stick out 9 mm further. I believe this is the only specification that matters. It will most likely rub but some modifications can probably be made to the fender liner and oil cooler grill.

Anyway, I know the Dinan wheels are also 19x9 and they run 255/30/19 up front or even a 265/30/19 (with some camber plates). They are ET37 (after the recommended 11 mm spacers).

Putting those into the calculator, the 255 on the 19x9 ET37 would stick out 8 mm compared to a 245 on 19x8.5 ET40.

The ZCPs with 245 will stick out only 1 mm more compared to the Dinan wheels with 255.

I think we can make this work.

I'm going to test fit the 245/35 on my car this weekend since installer going to MFest, so it gives me an extra week to decide on tire size. I'm hoping since I'm on OEM sports suspension they fit without rubbing and if not hopefully PS2 at 235/35 aren't too much stretch.

With tires it cost me 3700. So...

I ordered 235 3519 and 265 30 19 to put on my Alufucken wheels and I want to be rub free and stress free!

Just an update to you all. I'll be swapping out my Falken 452 235/265 setup in favor of the 245/275 setup tomorrow.

I had no rubbing at all with the 235/265 (with H&R Race) and it is odd that Bpower is having issues especially if he's on Perf Suspension. The only thing I can think of is that he's running PS2s...

I know it will be a close but I'm going to make it work. Will let you all know soon.

Looking forward to it. I'm worried about the fronts. So your 235s don't rub the liner in the front at all, even at full lock?

I test fitted the M3's PS2's today (245/35 & 265/35) and the fronts fit without rubbing at all. I still have like 5mm+ before it even hits the front liner. I don't have front liner grills on my car like the 335i's though, mines are vents but more towards the center of the car and smaller. The rears rubbed on the fender when the shocks are fully compressed. A fender roll will most likely take care of that but I may still end up going either 265/30 or 275/30 on the rear. Maybe, I'll just roll the fenders and keep the 265/35, looks nice and aggressive. I'll post pics later.

This didn't end up happening. After more research, I found that the ideal setup is 235/275 (Closest matching diameter). So I'll be buying 275s sometime soon, fitment will not be an issue as I have room.

They don't rub and I think it is because I have a 328. Like ShowTime12 said, we don't have the fins like you do.

Sorry for the crappy phone pics and car was filthy. I'll most likely be swapping out the rear tires for shorter ones and dropping the car soon too. First pic is with the shocks compressed were it rubs slightly, a fender roll should fix this. Also, these PS2s feel amazing compared to Hankook v12.

Seems like only the first pic came out decent quality.

Your car looks great! I'd recommend a 30-series tire in the back just to keep the diameters in check.

Bpower was rubbing on the front fender liner (not just the oil cooler grill). It could be because he has the M-Tech bumper which has a different liner. I will find out tomorrow if it clears on my car.

The powder coater called yesterday and told me he accidentally used the wrong powder (black chrome instead of the gunmetal steel pearlescent I wanted). He apologized profusely and said he has never made that mistake before and offered to re-do them. I felt bad and was going to just accept the wheels as is but I asked for a photo first.

Here's what he sent me:



It's way too dark for my taste, especially considering my car is BSM, so I took him up on his offer to strip them down and re-do them in the gunmetal color.

I will get them back next week.

For a 275/30 I'd imagine you'd need a pretty aggressive fender roll. Maybe even run more negative camber if you have a fat tire like Michelin or Advans. My 265/35 rear rubs on the center or the tire sidewall so I imagine 265/30 would rub on the top of the sidewall around were the tire thread is.

I don't think there's any other negatives other than speedometer/odometer readings and of course, rubbing. I'm surprised you got them to fit. I guess I am really low in the rear because during my test fit in post #1 of this thread, I couldn't even fit my pinky finger into the gap.

I rolled my fenders somewhat aggressively - enough that they have even flared out a tiny bit (only noticeable if you look very closely).

Took a quick cellphone pic of my 2 cars after washing them.

I got the rears rolled a bit more yesterday so the 265/35 rear shouldn't rub at all now even on the huge bumps. Too bad theres a bit of flare to the rear fenders now though (more flare on driver side too) . Is the flare normal after somewhat aggressive roll? I'm anal about even small dents in my car so it's noticeable to me. I'm afraid to ask body shop how much it'd be to remove the flare look. Anyways, time for gloss black grills and a spoiler now. Detail next weekend too.

No rubbing for me in fronts even at full lock. I haven't had any problems with fronts at all. Like mentioned the 330i's don't have front oil cooler grills like 335i's so I have plenty of room.

Damn those wheels look nice. I've only seen 359s powder coated matte black with red lip on a white M3 in person and even matte black they looked good.

Finally... the photos you've all been waiting for (sorry, they're taken with my Evo so don't expect the best quality).

Some notes:

• Tires are Bridgestone RE-11 245/35/19 and 275/30/19.
• Fenders rolled (they slightly flared out too).
• Car is dropped on Bilstein PSS9, pretty low. I had to raise the rear up a little bit from my previous setting to mitigate rubbing on bumps and inclines.
• I need to get a tiny bit of negative camber dialed in to clear the little plastic protrusion where the rear fender and bumper meet.
• Wheel color is "gunmetal steel pearlescent" powder coat.
• The set-up is very flush. Perfect. The rears are an issue but not a big deal.
• Don't hassle me about center caps. They'll go on tomorrow.

Let's start with a few extreme shots showing full compression on the right rear.

Yes, the 275/30/19 tucks on full compression! Only issue is the corner where the bumper meets the fender. Some negative camber will get rid of the rubbing. I'm sure the plastic can be trimmed also. I just need maybe 1-2 mm of clearance.
