313

225 meh

269

too bad you can get a nice set of aftermarket wheels for the same price. I'd pick up a set of RAC Monolites for that kind of coin

Are non-bmw aftermarket wheels outta the question?

Haha I know, At least it's not as bad/loud as it was with the former exhaust on that dyno day. That was amusingly loud and obnoxious. I couldn't be happier with the AMS system on it now

I wish I could have had more free time down here, but I'm on my way back already. Man I would've loved a ride or even view in the supercharged M3. The videos for them are very impressive

I'm not really a fan of aftermarket wheels, except for some BBS styles. I really liked the RX IIs and asked Kevin at Imola if they were available, but they have been discontinued.

Like the 269's, I like how the spokes extend to the rim on the 313's. I'd have to see pics of the 269's on an E92. Anyone see a 335is in the sheet metal yet??

Anvar is shoping for blowers and shifter knobs fo sho!

I saw a couple of 335is' at Motorwerks months ago when I was picking up my car. On the street I have seen only one, in LeMans blue. I actually saw it going up and down Lyndale near where I live 3 times in one day last August. Haven't seen it once since then!

When I see pics like this I really want the 313s. These are the 313Ms as fitted to a 335is, so the color and finish is different to the BMW Performance wheels, but the basic shape is the same. I think they look f'in awesome, especially from the rear quarter view

Those look better than the ones I found on the google. Where are you going to get them? I hope you'll source them out used. If not I can help you out. I can get you 25% off locally. Sucks that BMW raised their prices last year. I ordered a set of M5 wheels for my 550 to have powder coated and was bummed to find this out.

Here are my last thoughts on the 313 subject. The stock 335i offsets are not very aggressive, hence the wheels are too tucked into the fenders. Neither the 313 nor the 269 offsets are any different from stock, which means that both would be tucked in. The issue with the 313 in this regard is because the spokes are thin and fewer in number, they make the wheel wheels look weak. The 269s solve this problem by filling in the arches a little bit.

I've been watching various forums and craigslist for used wheels all winter. Trouble is that genuine BBS or Performance wheels are few and far between. The ones that have come up for sale are either curbed or way overpriced.

If I can't find anything by March, I'll just get new ones. Do you mind me asking how you get a discount locally?

I hear you, the wheels are tucked in too far on the 335, especially at the rear. I do not want to run spacers on my car, so if I go with BMW wheels there isn't much I can do.

Since you're leasing Gary, why not VMRs? They for sure will last you 2 years at least.

just pay attention to what offsets are available in the style wheels you are looking for. I ended up getting M6 offsets for my 166 (M5) wheels on my 550 so I wouldn't have to run spacers. not exactly sure what offsets the wheels come in but you might be surprised what is available. something like M3 offsets for the rear and & e9x for the front??? who knows. a lot of wheels are made for different cars. Frank can prolly help you out in that department. I'd just look into what will fit

Well, as you know I tried to order a set of their CSL reps for my old E92 and they weren't available for months. I kinda went off the idea at that point. I do still like the style, but they are getting common nowadays I think. The haven't seen any cars (except for your 1er) with Performance wheels, so they'll be a little more unique.

Good point, I'll see if Frank can check the availability of other offsets. Something a little more agressive would be nice at the rear.

One of the parts guys at Minnetonka insist that I put runflat tires onto the performance wheels if I were to purchase them. He said they wouldn't even sell me and mount regular tires on them, and if I just bought the rims and didn't have RFT's on, they "wouldn't work right". Obviously the parts guy didn't know anything about cars and was only repeating what he was told, but if they wanted to be real jerks about it they could. I was sure he would start telling me that I woudl have to buy tires directly from him, too.

I'm sure if you know the person selling you the wheels and tires it won't be an issue.

Off topic but FYI, if you're getting service done at BMW of MTKA, go with service writer Jeremy Schiller, he's the man.
