Same here, I think they left them out of the new Idrive

And the settings for E92 with Idrive aren't that great on my E92 with new Idrive. Will have to fiddle with them myself I guess

Anybody any updated feedback on the use of the Malek settings on an '09 LCI E92 with idrive + L7?

I seem to have the issues with the rear sound increase/cut off. Struggling with fiddling myself, seems ok for dance/trance/house, but awfull for the rest.

Whish they had the option to have shortcuts to different settings for the type/source of music.

Malek, did you have any chance yet to check out the difference with the new L7 on the '09 LCI E92?

Tnx,

Yveke.

It would be great if we had some new settings for the '09 L7 with idrive. It seems that the system is enough different from last year that the settings would be different..

I've tweaked it myself and got it sounding good, but it's not at all professional... I'd love to hear what some better ears thought.

Hey guys,

When I get a chance to play around with the LCI L7 stereo's, I will report back any changes or updates if there are any.

What annoys me though is that I can't select different sound settings for Radio, USB, CD/DVD, CD Changer and Harddrive. Switching from CD/DVD with good sound settings to Radio with the same settings, it looks like the Radio is producing no more bass and the highs are too much to listen to

My 2008 Mercedes C220 HK Logic 7 offered different setting per source.

Also it looks like when using the USB stick in the armrest, there is no option to transfer to Hard drive, while with the CD/DVD and CD changer it is there.

Do you think they could change this things with a sw update?

Tnx,

Y.
You can transfer to the hard drive from a USB flashdrive. however, you have to use the USB port in the glovebox, not the armrest.

Malekreza11,
Just some feedback. First, thanks for the hard work!

First set of settings gave me a headache - literally. I play classic rock pretty loudly, and I was seriously considering going back to the default settings when you published the corrected values. No idea what you did, but it's awesome. I did have to pull fairly far back on the treble (as directed) though; music was still much brighter than what I had grown accustomed to.

My '07 Idrive 328 (coupe) had Logic 7 with concert hall and (dammit, don't remember) one other option. I really liked concert hall, and played my IPOD through it loud all the time with no problems at all. Rocked... I loved it.

My new '09 335i (coupe) has same setup, but I'm using the y-cord supplied by BMW instead of just plugging into the headphone jack like I did on my 328. The uncommanded volume changes in the back speakers was driving me crazy. I've turned off the Logic 7 (no options on the '09), and the volume is now constant, but I'm seriously pissed off I've paid for something that doesn't work. I've read the imaging argument, but why is it here now when it didn't exist in my '07?
Cheers, and thanks again!

So I had all of that dialed-in in my '08 E90, I just got my '09 E90 LCI and I just realized today that it doesn't have the LOGIC7 or any EQ. HELP!!!! Is there anything that I can do to improve the sound quality? I thought that the LOGIC7 is standard because my 08 only had the "Sport" option and the LCI has "Sport" and "Premium". Thanks in advance.

How about top down settings for E93s.

I started with your settings for the E92 and went from there, but E93 specific settings would be great. I did this a couple months back and when I had my car updated to version 33.0.0.6 and my settings were reset I scrambeld back to this thread for your settings.

Thanks for the hard work.

Yo,

I know what you are talking about. The volume fluctuations between the front and rear channels. The best way to eliminate this with the surround processing on is the set the fader to the front by a value of 2, or as you mentioned, shut the surround processing off. Then it basically plays in multi-channel stereo.

2009's only have surround "off" or "on". No more choices. When I played with a 2009, it seemed that they worked on the processing a bit, because it sounds a little better than my 2008 with Logic7 did.

This thread is mainly for Logic7 stereo's. The base system has basic treble and bass control along with fader and balance. Not much room for adjustment, no surround processing, no center channel, less speakers.

If you would like, you can swing by my place and I can adjust it for you based on my highly trained ear.
