I have my stock Sport Suspension boxed up in my garage. If you decide you want to go with an OEM solution, I'll sell it to you. I can even recommend a good shop in NJ to have the suspension installed. It's the springs, shocks, and other random parts included. I can provide pics if you're interested. I don't have the specs, but the Sport Suspension is significantly stiffer than your base setup, and it'll be a very cheap alternative, considering the cost of coilovers or the Performance Suspension.

Ok, noob question but I want to be sure before I spend the money and time to get this done. I have an 08 335i with sport package. I just bought an 07 335i 6spd because I wanted the manual transmission. But the new car sits higher and does not have the sport package. Can I bring both cars to a shop and just have the suspension components swapped? Is it just a matter of changing shocks and struts? I'm assuming this will work, but want to be sure. Please no guessing if you don't know 100%. If you really don't know, it will be an expensive guess that I would rather not try. If this cannot be done for some reason, what is a good combo that will have similar ride quality and ride height? Thank you.

OEM sport suspension 15/15 vs Eibach 30/25
Hi everyone!
I had originally OEM sport suspension 15/15mm lowering on my 325D and it was very good to drive. Then i bought Eibach lowering springs 30/25mm and the ride changed radically!!! have been driving on track and there the change is very good but in normal, everyday drive its bad...too hard. This much said from my mouth because i love tuning every car i own...i am not going anymore to race tracks so next week i put back the OEM sport suspension springs 15/15mm. I didnt know before trying the Eibach that the change in driving was so big :/ |

Hi Mark and thanks for accepting my registration!
A friend just bought a 2008 320 E93 cabrio. He is new to the brand and i want to help him. The car rode really badly and my first recommendation was to ditch runflats and changing to normal Continentals. things are much , much better but the car still handles like a Hyundai. He was really scared once. and started asking about syspension. My 2001 330 ci Mpack has Koni sports on factory M-paket springs(German spec) and rides beautifully in every way. So my first thought is Koni yellows. But front end looks too high and the whole car feels so soft i doubt konis will do the job alone. Remember his car is wearing somewhat lowered syspension from factory. My mechanic suggested Bmw performance shocks on Hartge springs. What is your opinion? |

Is it even worth it to throw on the Bilstein PSS10 suspension if I don't track my car; just like to drive aggressively? Also, what do I need to watch out for before I do this (i.e. Can I assume that I will be ok with this suspension and throwing on some 18" wheels without running into a clearance issue or others)?

is it possible to get springs with this setup ???:
40/20 mm (= 1.6 / 0.8 inch) I have found only the HR but they are only for 335d :-( they wont fit on 330d? //edit: http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pag...roduct=3877830 this springs are for 330d and also for the 335d ... so that HR 40/20 should fit also for the 330d, shouldnt they? thx Last edited by Najt; 03-04-2011 at 04:28 AM.. |

So am I safe to assume if I have a sport suspension and want to lower my car with H&R Sports, I can just subtract the .6 inches from the 1.3 inch drop and that's how much lower it will take me?
This would make sense to me, but I'm a noob at all this. |

springs adjust heights so once u take off the bmw sport springs and add the HR springs it's going to be the same height as non sport springs. |

Correct. The drop listed from the manufacture is based on non-sport suspension. If the springs are rated at 1 inch drop you will see .5 inch difference if you have already have sport suspension.
