It appears that dealership is in Canada. The vehicle in the video has M badges on the side.

And maybe it hasn't changed for CA, and/or the early 24s didn't get the hybrid as apparently expected. Also would be no surprise if the audience knows more than a car salesperson. I have M240 on order myself, and this will be 4th car purchase in the last 7 years (Jeep, Volvo, 2x BMW) and with each one I knew far more about each car than the (sales focused, not product focused) salesperson with just normal internet research. |

If you go to the youtube page and read his comments, he clearly states it is a '24 and no 48V MH. I seriously doubt this guy would be putting up a video under his corporate banner and not tell the truth about this. You can do a google search and find his name and the dealership where he works. He has several BMW vids on youtube. I don't know about Canada, but here in the US his dealer could get into some legal issues with someone relying on his info - not to mention BMW corporate. I do have a "dog in the fight" too - I don't want the 48v MH either but that video and the pictures I posted earlier are pretty good evidence that it won't have it. I rest my case, your honor. |

Vegtro posted in another thread that the left side dash box was brought back for MY 24. If so, it did not make it to the Canadian model.

My MY24 M240i has reached "Final Assembly" status, and my VIN now works to add it to the BMW Driver's Guide iPad/iPhone app.
This screenshot is from that app ... appearing to confirm that with the mild hybrid, the Auto Start/Stop button goes away. But also that Auto Start/Stop is still deactivated in Sport mode (and presumably Sport Plus and Sport Individual.) |

So that part seems definitive, the mild hybrid addition to the B58 for MY24. But (until we see a US delivery) the part of the Auto Start/Stop button getting removed from the M240i seems unconfirmed, though very likely since it's removed from other models with the B58 that have added the mild hybrid. And then now feels more likely/confirmed with the manual details (if my interpretation is correct.) How I'm reading the screenshot from the manual is ... Without mild hybrid (230i models with B48 engine) ... use the Auto Start/Stop button or iDrive to deactivate. Then, not specifically stated, but implied ... with mild hybrid (M240i) you don't have those options, no longer available (as they were with MY23.) So can only deactivate via Sport mode or the gear selector. In the last few hours, mine has flipped to "Ready for transport" and I will be happy when it arrives if my doc interpretation is proven wrong, as I still would prefer the better control of disabling Auto Start/Stop via the physical button. It could also randomly be a USA only thing? The UK site still shows no mold hybrid and the above video is from Canada. BMW does seem to make really odd decisions in variations between cars. Such as US models having less M badging. So until a US MY24 car is delivered there’s no way to know for sure.

It looks like the US 2024 models don’t have the mild hybrid system(not listed in any dealer descriptions who have 2024 cars). Or, if they do have it, the auto start stop button is still available.
See listing below for a 2024: https://www.kunibmw.com/inventory/ne...3cm07r8d81144/ |

If you look at the key fob when he holds it up, the dealer tag says it's a 2023.
The reviews from other countries that say they use 2024 models all have the auto stop-start off button. |

He shows the key tag near the end of the video, and it also shows the VIN, which comes up as: Production Date: June 12, 2023 Model Year: 2023 So seems pretty clear our Canadian friend was knowingly or unknowingly/carelessly showing a MY23 as a MY24. Possible the key tag was from another car, but the basics of the video and VIN match ... Black/Black, 791M wheels, shadowline, etc. VIN of the Kuni BMW one above shows: Production Date: August 8, 2023 Model Year: 2024 And that one has the Auto Start/Stop button. But no clear indication (no pic of engine bay) to confirm/deny mild hybrid. In the end, not going to surprised if there is a mix with actual MY24s ... the first ones not having the mild hybrid because of supply chain, and they start getting it a little later. Or maybe we'll get the best of both (as I want it) ... mild hybrid addition, but with the Auto Start/Stop button remaining. |

Just went back to their website, and they actually have two MY24s “in stock” with real pictures, etc. The red one from the earlier post, and a white one. Both VINs showing the production date of 8/8. (The white one, same as the red … Auto Start/Stop button present, no indication of hybrid addition.) My production date was 8/30, sitting at status of “Ready for transport” for a week now. Need some of that Kuni delivery magic to get it on its way. |

I should call them and ask them to please go to system setting>Regulatory notes> head unit and see what it says. I have to know for sure with someone's own eyes since mine is stuck in "Ready for Transport" limbo.
