Hi Everyone
Posted here a couple of times already but wanted to say hello. Missing driving a BMW as mine was written off two months ago. New car due in July. Will look similar to this when it arrives..... I can't wait!!! Want to get a chiptuning box for the new car. I had a cheap 50 quid box off ebay and did wonders for in gear torque/acceleration on the last e91 (163bhp so not compatible with new 177bhp). Any recommendations? Willing to sell the old box if anyone is interested. Make a reasonable offer + postage and its yours. Also got a brand new in the box black grill. I bought it for the last car but it arrived in the post the morning I crashed!!! Should look good on the Carbon Black. Will also put a light tint on the front windows to blend in with the rear Sun Protection glass. See below for full spec. Would like to get involved in some meets in the future. I'm in the SW. Search 'chiptuning' or pop this in your browser.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-E46-E90-32...QQcmdZViewItem Seemed too cheap compared to some 'quality' UK sellers. Popped it on and instantly felt more power and torque, especially in gear acceleration from 2k to 4k rpm May not be as good as more expensive options but you get what you pay for. Even my wife noticed from the passenger seat if it was plugged in or not!! |

Hi all
Have posted a couple of times, but thought a formal intro may be in order! I've had the e92 335d since Jan with: Sparking Graphite Coral Red dakota 19'' 230's Elec folding mirrors Floor mats Lumbar support Storage pack Front seat heating PDC Active cruise control USB Prof Nav Bluetooth Loudspeakers High gloss shadowline Black painted hubs (my own doing due to the rust issue) Loving the car, no complaints other than being stitched up £300 for a new RFT after picking up a nail 5 weeks into ownership and the rusty hubs. Finding the forum really useful and enjoying the friendly banter! BTW, from Hersham in Surrey and do IT consultancy (yawn) for a living. |

Hi
I have been looking at this forum for a while now. It seems to offer the best bits from bmwcarmagazine and evotechnik forums. Drive a 330 ci which I bought new in 05 and have to keep in for another 2 years (agreement with wife) then I would like to buy a 335i coupe. Very interested to hear about any company other than ACS, Dinan or Alpina who can remap the 335. Anyway, great forum and look forward to meeting some of you at the next meet. Cheers Anthony |

Welcome Ant.
In regards to remaps, tuning boxes etc, if you do a search of the forum, there is a wealth of info on the subject, and most of the companies offering those services are well represented, and where used are also recommended.

Hi all, another newbie here!
Like a lot of others, have been lurking around for a while; in fact about 2 1/2 years!! I bought my new e90 325i M Sport just over 2 years ago and after 58,000 miles, she is still going strong! In fact, this site was really valuable when coming to chose the colours and options, I don't think I would have chosen le mans blue, lemon leather, xenons and blacklines without all the picture threads on here! The photo underneath is from delivery day in May 2006. Unfortunately the front is suffering from a few (hundred) stone chips nowadays but I've been really pleased up to now and am looking forward to the facelift... I finally thought I'd register as I have approx 12 months to spec out the next one and with fuel prices the way they are, help represent the UK petrol 6 cylinders owners!!! Cheers Finchy |

Another M Sport Newbie
Hi everyone....
Not new to forums as I'm a club mod on Scoobynet and Chairman of an Impreza and other performance marques car club in Yorkshire. I've just sold on my superb Litchfield Type 20 Impreza and picked up a stunning 335D M Sport. I really can't praise this car enough for its all round ability. The Scoob was a 10/10ths car, but having followed 3 STI's and an Elise over to a weeks driving to the Stelvio pass at the end of May on a club visit, the D did not embarrass itself in the slightest. I'm probably the last person who would have been shouting from the rooftops how good a performance D can be.. I look forward to reading through the site and gleaning some great information Al. |
