I know(at least up here) LCI 328i's with sport package came with gloss black trim and is not that uncommon. I dont think its "piano black" but just black with a little sparkle

Jeez, am I the only one that likes wood? I really like the light wood, I had it in my black interior E90. It seems to be pretty rare, but I think it would look good with the beige interior.
I'm especially not wild about the aluminum on beige, and I really wasn't a big fan of it on my 6MT E91 with grey. Hot: Not: |

The wrap I ordered for my interior trim came in and since I had some free time last night I decided to give it a shot. I started with this piece. It came out ok but I messed up the cut around the chrome piece, but not bad for a first attempt.
Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr I peeled that off and decided that one of the door trims would be easier to I popped one off and gave it a go. Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr It needs some work on the edges so I will probably redo this one but not bad. I did the other rear door, no photo for some reason, and it came out better. So I popped one of the front door trims off and wrapped it. This was my best piece yet but it was a pain. There is a downward and inward curve that required a lot of heat to get it laid down right. Even though it was a little difficult it was my best piece yet. Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr I went ahead and used the rest of the vinyl to wrap the passenger front door and it came out even better than the rest. Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr I have some more wrap on the way to do the center console and dash trim, I think I am going to like the way this looks. |

That wood looks great with your interior, but I'm not a huge fan of the tan and wood. It makes the car look a Grandpaish. |

Did you wrap the wood trim or the aluminum trim? If you still have the aluminum would you be interested in parting with it?

Would be perfect if you could source a black interior, can probably get a decent one with all the panels from a scrapyard

but honestly I don't think it would do me any good as I need an idrive center console and they do not appear to be the same. and that's the worst piece in my car. |

It just sucks that they did the full panels in beige, if it was the two tone with the black panels it would be proper. I have the piano black in my M3 and love it, hopefully you find a set!

Did a little more wrapping last night. I was a little distracted and kinda in a rush so I have some mistakes. I am going to see how it holds up and probably eventually re-wrap these pieces and steal the good vents out of the silver trim. I am happy with the look, and I hope to do the center console this weekend.

Got a little more wrapping done.....very little. I re-wrapped the ashtray cover.
Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr And then attempted to wrap the center console but had trouble and wasted a roll and a half of wrap, I had to order more. Sunday I did an oil change on the wagon and rotated the tires. I went with LiquiMoly since I have buddy that works for them, he recommended the flush and additive. Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr I used the recommend Castrol oil last oil change, and burned about half a qrt in 5k miles. I'm hoping the LiquiMoly does a little better. |

Looks awesome, I think the black gives it a nice clean modern look.
I just switched to Liqui-Moly 5w40 in my own car, and have started using FCP Euro for changes with their lifetime warranty. I live in CT where they are based so shipping is cheap. Seems to run smooth so far. The Ceratec is good stuff, I've been using that in my dad's 2013 Grand Cherokee with the 5.7L and it runs nice and quiet, no Hemi tick yet at 155k miles and he drives it pretty hard.

So I'm never one to leave well enough alone, so I ordered more parts. I had some rewards points burning a hole in my pocket, and I needed a new air filter anyway. I picked up a Dry k&n clone and a silicone intake boot. Out came the parts. Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr Installed the filter. Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr And installed the boot. It was kind of a pain to get it lined up, I had to move the power steering res, and of course I dropped one of the nuts. I have on on the way. Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr I honestly wasn't expecting any power increase, I was hoping for a little intake noise. It might have gained about an once of hp and a little noise but I don't know if it was worth the trouble. I though about taking it off and sending it back, but Ill give it a few days. I think I need to break down and buy an euro airbox. |

So my fan developed a little squeak under acceleration, I blame the massive boost in power from my silicone intake tube...... Haha. Anyway, I figured it was going to be a tough job to pull it so I have dealt with it for a while. The other night I looked up a DIY and realized that it was pretty simple so I pulled it and lubed it last night.
Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr Couple squirts of Kroil and its good to go for a while. Untitled by Nick Wood, on Flickr I will probably order a new one soon but this will hold me over for a little while. |

I had the same issue with my blower fan, tried the lube route as well. Ended up buying a new one cause it came back shortly there after. Annoying little bugger
