Made a monster mistake selling my XKR. The state of many of the Interstates I wanted to travel is/was such that the hours of jiggling wore me down.
Traded it for an XJ that left me stranded on a remote part of I-40 in Northern Arizona, courtesy of the shit, Ford designed, water pump. The engine came out twice before it was fixed, so I let it go. Didn't trust it. Broke my heart, because the interior was spectacular. |

I would put that in my garage and just look at it all day, every day. There are some really nice cars on this thread (none of them mine, sadly), but that is head and shoulders above all of them for me. And it's black with black wheels! I don't really like black cars, or black wheels. I LOVE that, though. |

Ł70k gets a decent looking cab, which by Porker standards ain't too bad IMO. I am now starting to wish my late mother hadn't left me any money! |

997 Gen 2, right..? Sweet spot for the more modern 911's, in my humble opinion... Mine was a Gen 2...

The Mk8 is really nice... I didn't really take to it when it launched, having owned that Mk7.5, but in retrospect it is a really nice clean design... and makes the previous ones now look a little frumpy, in a way...
VW still suffer from a poor selection of wheels, IMHO, but those look awesome...

This was the other one I used to look back on...
Ah, those were the days... when these sorts of things were a simple man-maths spreadsheet away... ... and having the nozzle covers for the light washers was something you could pay extra to have "body colour"...!!!

Small world! I'd not been for years and was looking a bit tired from the outside.
Always wanted to give that a go but never got round to it. Usually can't go wrong with his places. Ha that's the other half so should probably say both... but as much as I like her she's not designed by Pininfarina |
