What a miserable way to live. Naah, I work too hard to eat like they do in a homeless shelter. I eat good, daily.

The butcher at the grocery store gave me a Choice Porterhouse instead of the Prime I ordered... But she's going in the sous vide bath anyway. Mouth is already watering...

I'm glad I'm not the only one inundated with memories of old commercial jingles from the 80's. Quite the memory on you sir.

I'd also like to add that looks amazing. I'll be having a protein shake weight resistance training and hiit cardio for dinner......and hopefully some sex for desert.

I just splurged and bought a kitchenaid mixer. I use to do everything by hand. I expect every meal over the next 30 days to be carb heavy now.

We bought one too and I haven’t gotten past pizza dough. I want to make pasta, bread and plenty of other things but the pizza is so good I just can’t move on to the next thing. If you make it, I suggest using a recipe that calls for bread flour rather than all purpose if you like a crispy crust.

I do love a crispy thinner style crust. I'll give it a try, thanks for the heads up!

Not at all its fuel. I'd eat it raw to save time if it wouldn't make me sick. My wife can make all the fancy stuff she wants and I will eat anything put in front of me. When I make food it's a hunk of meat and some carb source.

To each their own I suppose... For me, food is much more than just something to fill my stomach.

^^^Our smoke alarm would be going nuts. It goes off almost every time Wifey opens the oven even though there is no visible smoke. The thing is ridiculously sensitive. It isn't even that close to the kitchen.

That steak looks mighty tasty, btw. So the sous vide does the basic cooking and then you sear it in the pan?

(Just noticed that you may be cooking out on a patio or something?)

Yea the sous vide cooks the steak up to temp by bagging and submerging it; then you sear to brown the outside.

I got an induction hot plate to keep the smoke outside. 💡
