hi jason, yeah i agree that Tischer is FTMFW! btw would like to ask what does this mean "To order the multifunction alcantara trim, add part # 32300430403 ($54.40) to your order. Stock sport steering wheel trim, M Sport (ZSP) trim - 32307906848, and M3 trim - 32302283739 will also fit wheel. Non-multifunction trim is part # 32300430402.". i'm interested in ordering one, just confused which one to get. i have the 09' 335i sport package steering wheel so which one should i choose between these options? and also how long is the installation time if i'm gonna have it installed by the dealer? thanks!

Check it out here. Estimated installation time is 1.5 hours...but that can vary from dealership to dealership.

It's not a complete progman update, but some sort of programming so the features on the wheel work. I can provide you with my service history to see what they programmed. |

6. Concluding work, coding and initial setting This retrofit system does not require coding. - Connect the battery - Conduct a brief test - Conduct a function test - Re-fit the car components as required - Making basic settings Basic settings To ensure the unit functions properly, two basic settings must be performed on completion of the installation: - Simultaneously hold down the left (L) and right (R) keys on the performance steering wheel while switching on the ignition - Using the key R, select either diesel or petrol-engined car (the small box around the text signifies that the option is selected) - Press the key L to save the setting and to advance to the setting “Correction factor for speed” - Start the engine and maintain a constant, easily readable engine speed (e.g. 1000 rpm) - Compare the display on the steering wheel with that on the rev counter - You can increase the correction factor by holding the key R down, or reduce it by tapping the key R briefly several times until the two displays correspond - When you switch the ignition off again, the settings are stored These steps can be performed the installer without programming/coding at a BMW dealership. I believe that there are several members of this forum that have already completed this retrofit themselves in their own driveways/garages successfully. |

PerfWheelOpInstr.pdf (Click for operating instructions) Section 6 of the Installation Instructions...'this retrofit system does not require coding' Now of course since this wheel is a bit more advanced than your typical wheel, it's going to require some setup....see the operating instructions above.

Just finished installing the wheel its pretty cool but I expected a little bit more. The RPM setting stays the same for every gear I had hopped I could set up a different shiftng point for every gear. For those installing the wheel the wires A1 and A2 are to be connected to the harness thats goes into the CAS unit from the top(not clear in the schematics). Expect the install to take atleast two hours but its fairly simple just have all the tools required set up and it should go pretty smooth. If anybody needs help installing the wheel PM me I'm in Brookly NY

Non-electronic version is still on special in our BMW Performance catalog on the site.
The older electronic version is discontinued and no longer available. The new electronic version is not yet released here in the US - but we'll have it on special as soon as it's available!
