++ Take care of the USB wire and plug that is just under the antenna location when you reinstall the front center box, I crushed the USB wire going to the Mulf while screwing the left hex bolt (it's where the wire goes under the carpet on the left, then back, then to the left side of the rears seats). |

How does it go about getting the car with vin saying you got CA. Asked my parts advisor and he said that if I change everything then later down the line if I sell it and something happens to the next owner and they need a new key from the dealer it won't match because the vin won't show CA.

I just successfully retrofitted CA in a e87 thanks to information in this thread and the bmw coding forum. Not a very difficult retrofit but very time consuming and expensive. |

I don't know if the non-CA cars have it, but it just slips into a little plastic sleeve in the carpet between the two AC runners.

Very nice thanks! Found the guy. All that's holding me back from pulling the trigger is the wiring harness. Where could I find one? Making one is not an option as I'm not that good with electricity. |

For 12 Euros I used 20 meters of this: http://fr.aliexpress.com/item/Hot-sa...221668328.html You can use the google.doc I provided before, I will update it for the pins to solder but I have a lot of work actually. You will have to connect also with the JBE on Fuse using 5 Amp. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8v...ew?usp=sharing Last edited by Pierre26; 04-23-2016 at 12:59 PM.. |

I had someone make it for me and I paid him. I will ask how much he will charge and if he is willing to do it again.

I have Comfort Access but apparently the tinting of my windows messes with the electronics so its not sensitive at all. Takes 2 or three tries to get the doors to lock/unlock. I end up using my keyfob anyway. Wish it wasnt so.

Do you have mettalic tint? Many tints should be totally invisible to radio.
