Wow what a great thread!! its the first ive ever read from start to finish.

Now then in the land of 'Stevie A' EVERYONE hates taxes, and i do my upmost to pay as little as possible but unfortunatley i NEED fuel, so i pay for it. If it was £5 per litre id still buy it because i need it to do my business and my business affords me a lovly lifestyle.

I think simons argument about fuels being cheaper, will lead to more people driving is plausable. When i havent given the mrs her allowance she says " i havent done any shopping cause i couldnt get to the supermarket as i couldnt buy petrol" now then i thought she was just being a lazy twat!!!

Come on guys lets not argue about whos right and whos wrong becasue we all are.

Love Steve.

PS Carlos you are the thickest bloke i know by a fucking mile

Sort out my f.....g pay rise then please. And yes, I DO deserve one as working for an agency that year on year has made considerable profits.

'profits' - must be a state run monopoly then.

I suppose that 1.9% will be the order of the day then. Proper shite if you think (like I do) that inflation is running at 6 - 10%.

Yes Tony, Land Registry is just that. TBH not even sure of % on offer, possibly 2% & that's because we make a profit Should be done in June, now December

I won't start ranting, it's boring. Just don't think it is too much in expecting to maintain one's standard of living.

Your car should be going even better now I reckon

Just an aside. I found these forums because I'd previously found useful information on the old timers E46 boards. I'm a little worried. It seems that:

a) If you have too much fun it'll offend people and create demands for an off topic forum

or

b) If you try to get serious people will assume a flame war and try to step in.

Maybe we should rename this forum the "UK my new penis substitute arrives in January woo hoo should I get electric seats or the vibrating butt plug attachment and would my wheels look better in lemon yellow or neon pink" forum.

Come on guys, a little fun is OK, a little heated discussion is OK too otherwise why bother.

No-one told me that there was a butt plug option.

This must be at least a £650 + VAT factory option.

Is a retrofit available?

So the 'profit' you talk about is as a result of the Land Registration Act and the reduction of thresholds for registrable interests?

OK - my definition of a profit is buy low sell high or to make something that sells for more that the sum of it's parts.

Oh well, its a symptom of the b/s service led / public sector economy.

No offence to you or what you do (the Land Registry are one of the better government agencies IMO) but it really is not a profit.

I assume that you are having a go at my 'butt plug' remark.

If you were replying to Steve then 'fuck off' would probably be more appropriate.

Yes , you're right & there are more reductions on the way but are not public knowledge as yet. We are currently focusing on an alarming increase in fraud re. property/land transactions. One of many reasons the general public should not be encouraged to do their own conveyancing, but solicitors should not charge such ridiculous fees for what is often basic conveyancing on registered titles. E conveyancing is on it's way as well!!

Again Tony, you are strictly correct, the 'profit' is not a profit as such,
although we conveniently choose to call it one when receiving an annual corporate bonus.
