I think he recommended the Radio Shack cable because you'd be hard pressed to find an area without a Radio Shack nearby.

That being said I've used it with no issues, same as the one I have from Best Buy and New Egg (I tend to lose things).

How long is the new egg cable? I tried looking at their site, but I couldn't find where it's listed. I wish the radio shack cable was a little longer then 6'...it would make it easier to fit through my window and into the passenger seat for data logging. 9 feet would work nicely.

LOL good question. I can't find it anywhere on their site either. I think it was 6 feet. I have mine run through the vent hole in the ECU box to the glovebox and it's long enough to each the passenger seat. Maybe someone else measured the cable prior to installing it...

radio shack does not work with windows vista. dont get it.. please get keyspan

not with every computer that has vista...mine didn't work and i had guys that are in tech come and still didn't work so it wasn't my computer skills, but that damn cable

You need the correct driver, there's a thread on it somewhere, you have to download it.
