No problem. I like to keep things unbiased.

Once again, I suspect there is a lull after the shift in the 6MT. All tunes can face this issue and I even have logs showing this. JB owners have reported it as well and moddifications to shifting style have helped with them. Shiv has also helped with it in the maps. Dinan may not be aware of this possibility or has intentionally left it in.

I haven't seen any posts suggesting Dinan was on par performance wise with V2. If anyone is truly wondering, I have had the opportunity to drive both tunes and there is a difference between the two - not only in the total power, but how they deliver the power. I notice the power delivery difference more than the actual power difference. I really wish the Dinan had that immediate response. I hope the May reflash fixes this - my car is a manual and I still don't like the throttle behavior. I went into the Dinan decision knowing it wasn't as fast as V2. I think all or most Dinan owners know this, but neither is it the weak tune some make it out to be.

Its like Bizarro dejavu all over again to see some Procede owners continually mention price...don't you all remember how you always got slammed for paying "so much more"? Does the shoe feel better now on the other foot?

And, yes, PROcede v2 runs higher boost, and should be faster, but there are those ppl who spent > $2,000 on the Dinan ECU Flash that swear their car is as fast or faster than a PROcede v2 335i.

I drove one of the first Dinan-flashed cars. The owner was nice enough to stop by and we swapped keys. I was really surprised by how they mapped throttle/boost. Especially below 3500rpm and between shifts. I'm not surprised that they are issuing a fix/update for it. But it's good that they acknowledged this problem and are taking the necessary steps to fix it.

So it really isn't a surprise that the V2 was faster. A better comparison would be V1.4 vs Dinan. As far as the slow Dinan time, there is only two times posted with Dinan:

1. 12.9 AT
2. 13.4 MT

I believe when the V2 first came out there were also people that were not getting good times with the MT as well and alot of it had to do with driver experience. I need to get up to Fontana with my Dinan tune so we can get some more times. I have a MT with everything else being stock. Launching the MT is definatley not easy.

Great times sleepdoc!!
Drag racing the Dinan is different than dragging a Procede because of the different power deltas. Shift point on the Dinan shouldn't be at redline, but somewhere around 6,200! For optimal acceleration.
