What's wierd is that BMW doesn't have it as an option... I mean, if the car is capable, and Dinan thinks it's worth it to sell it AND cover it and the rest of the car via warranty, why couldn't BMW do the same thing... sort of silly.

When I asked a SA about when it might come out he rolled his eyes and said they heard it would be soon.....6 months ago.
If you think about it, the announcement was made before all the troubles with the engine and 29.2 came out. Now BMW has to figure out how to get more performance out of the engine while making sure they dont end up with more problems than before 29.2. I wonder if that might be what caused the delay on their flash.

I found out that it was version 30.0.2 that they used to up date my car, and it has not taken care of the lag and it now starts funny. Will be getting Dinan on Monday. Hoping that takes care of this.

I just spoke with Dinan again. The OP is on the right track. The emissions item is in the works and they are indeed talking about doing the flash now at the shops instead of doing it at the Morgan Hill office. The guy I spoke with started just 4 weeks ago so he might be out of the loop.

That Montego blue car looks just like mine with the big D on the intercooler. I just want to go fast now. Oh, as far as being patient I kind of have to be. I prepaid for it all since my buddy got me 20% off parts and labor so I bought all of the stage 3 at a reduced price. The downside is not after finding I have DME81 I have to wait until the next solar eclipse until Dinan gets their Sit together and releases this software. I swear this is the longest and most excruciating pain for my car. BTW, the FMIC by itself does nothing for performance without the upgrade boost. I am so tempted to try a different tune in the meantime until I get my flash. The thing is I am so close now that August 10th is basically a week away. I hope to God they don't delay after this or I will lose my mind and order the V3 instead. I just won't care after that. I just won't....

My patience dwindles. Grouppe M looks like a good alternative if not for warranty considerations. http://www.eurotuner.com/features/16.../photo_06.html |

$1800?
It's nice, but not that nice. On the other hand, I can't believe Dinan is going to be offering anything that costs less that $1k... except for pedals. |
