Yes, we are lucky to have loads of game around here, so there is lots of shoots to go to.

Im lucky enough to have a friend who is the gamekeeper for this place https://www.wiltonhouse.co.uk/estate/ so i get to shoot for free and only pay for what i take home.....normally 3 birds. So about $193.

All good fun.

It is great fun and Wilton House is beautiful! We usually shot a bit further south in Dorest at Cranborne Estate or closer to Oxford at a friends property called Shotover House.

I love making all types of things, I carve wood and stone. I create things with leather and hand tool them. I collect knives, axes, and saws. And recently i have started building websites about the things i do, my most recent one is Blade Protection and is all about knives.

I run a construction company that does renovations mainly and it gives me opportunity to create all kinds of things as well. Lots of woodworking and projects like that.

Nice website on knives. Just this past summer I started sharpening blades. It makes such a difference in quality of work.

Yea, my wife used to make fun of me because i sharpened our kitchen knives so much. Until she got used to it and used some dull knives at a friends house. She was like, "what is wrong with these knives? they don't even cut."

Now she appreciates how well i take care of our kitchen knives. But she doesn't even know just how much time i spend sharpening my other knives, lol.

I have never shot at Cranbourne Estate, i can imagine is a good day though. Another local shoot to me. 2km from my house is www.stocktonshoot.co.uk/ . I have paid a couple of times to take part, but the wallet takes a beating.

If your friend owns Shotover House......you mix with high society. 3rd Baronet Sir Beville Douglas Stanier owns it. Get you. Lol.

I build and fly radio control jets. Some are as long as the M5 and have a higher max speed. 😀

i feel like this is why i won't be a good "relationship material" guy, outside in public i carry myself just fine, act like a normal human being etc, but it's only an act of balance carried out by what i do at home by myself
If you can get a pilots license it's awesome - I loved it, but am uncertain as to whether I will get a US license. Living in NZ everything was close and you could do a lot of weekend trips. Living in the middle of Texas I feel everything is 1000 miles away, and a weekend trip becomes expensive, especially when you get into aircraft capable of speeds worthy of the distances involved. I'm looking at fractional ownership of aircraft, but it's still costly.

Getting into RC flying is easy. Check out this forum with a section dedicated for beginners. You can get started for a couple hundred dollars. https://www.rcgroups.com/beginner-tr...ft-electric-8/

Once you start flying heavier military RC planes it can become harder than flying a real plane. It's not uncommon for these planes to cost north of $20k and there is no insurance if you crash.

So I'm with you. Cars, boats, whisk(e)y, cigars, stereo equipment (tubes). I love the movies, home theatre mostly now. Going to the range. Working on my old house. And of course beautiful women (my wife). I actually have too many distractions.

RC airplanes is an interesting cheap hobby to get into. Doesn't have to cost 20K to have fun. I've flown remote control for 10yrs. Start with cheap foamies and work up to nicer wood models. Friends and I flew mostly WW2 models. But I've a love for biplanes too. You can get them any size for any budget. Join a club, find some help or mentor. There is a lot to learn. Don't try to do it by yourself.

I have done many hobbies:
photography & film development (back in the day)
carpentry and woodshop
masonry
gun collecting, hunting, reloading
Anything with wheels or tits
skiing water and snow
Dogs and horses
trail riding and team roping
wood and leather carving
and online gaming
to mention a few...

I forgot cigars. I don't go to the range that often any more but I used to live there post-Katrina.

Reading, cars (driving them not working on them), and lately cooking

I do like to travel as much as I can comfortably afford. This year I’ve made trips to New York, Chicago, Greece, London, and Amsterdam. But I’m planning to buy a house soon so will have to cut back on the traveling.

If you want you can train on the Realflight simulator at home to give you an idea of the physics involved.
