+1

I had issues with the first version of these files and I'm very computer literate. It appears that Shiv has fixed these issues now but I agree that you want to you want to use a vanilla, older zip format so it's compatible with more configurations. It's such a simple thing that saves frustration.

New features look great Shiv!

Anyone getting a surge of power around 4k w/doomsday maps? Shiv: Still need the low end grunt of V2 w/Doomsday. The map switching from valet is great...it's just what I needed.

With Doomsday, we have to limit low end boost to 11-12psi.

I was all psyched about trying this out until I remembered that I can't get to my ecu because somebody backed into my front end this weekend and my hood is crumpled up.

I don't know exactly what you mean by a surge. I don't think there are any mapping issues. PM me more specifics and we can discuss offline.

Now, per the picture below, drag that file you just extracted, Pde_reader v3.1beta1.exe to the folder where you have installed the v2 Procede software.

Most likely, per the pic, this will be at C:\Program Files\Procede\Pde_Reader_v2_0 in your file structure.

See the pic.

Once Pde_reader v3.1beta1.exe is in the same location as the v2 Procede software executable, it will work fine, and not give you the missing .dll error.

Hope this explains it
Thanks, I thought I did that, but I'll try again.

Why not have a parameter where you enter the octane you are running, which in turn will decrease IAT boost decay and adjust torque setting appropriately for those who run race gas?

Isn't "The Surge" what John McCain keeps talking about that was so successful in the War in Iraq? Oh, wait a minute...the Dow just went down another 733 points today, we're all losing tons of $$ in the market, our economy sucks, we're in a recession, our banks are in deep sh!t and need a $700B bailout, our troops are still in Iraq (doing The Surge thing), Bin Laden is still at large as we try to locate him and fight Al Qaeda with just a few thousand troops...and WE have to pay for it all.

Yes sort of. By turning valet feature on, the car will behave like stock upon start-up. Then by pressing the ON button on the keyfob, you are basically doing two things:

1) Turning the PROcede "ON" (disabling valet)
and
2) Activating the PROcede map that corresponds to the ON button.

After which point, you can toggle between the ON button and OFF button maps as normal.

That is something we looked at but still leaves room for user error (miscalculating effective octane, bad gas, etc,.) We are currently testing what I believe to be a better approach.

Ok, good. I never used Valet Mode because revving my engine at 6am to a preset RPM would get neighbours mad. Now I can actually use this feature.

What about the possibility of customising the valet map? If we could customise this map then essentially we would be running with the option of 3 maps instead of 2 + valet. If some ppl chose to want a stock map for the valet, they would just need to set the boost target to 8psi~ giving everyone more freedom.

Damn..... Now the Proceed has made another big leap forward and I can't use it

Oh well I'll just feel sorry for myself in my new M3

I can say this.. The V3 9-5 map well leave an M3 behind from a roll. The wave of TQ is so awesome and spooling is so quick. The M3 is quite the car, I'm really enjoying it. I'll miss the tuner debates but I know that its all good and all of us have benefited from it. Its truly amazing the progress that has been made over such a short period of time.

Speaking of consumers. Proceed V3 PNP for sale $$1,100 barely used but enjoyed every second of it.

PM if seriously interested.

I actually feel the same way about the neighbors, but I also didn't like the fact of revving a cold engine either...Now that the map switching is set to my homelink, its awesome...I have valet set to 35 percent and I am going out tommorrow to see what the fastest the car can go...25 gets you to 32mph, i wonder what 35 gets you?

To calculate:

0.35x155=54mph

Or if you have a 130mph limit,
0.35x130=45mph

Yes it does. Just not when the valet mode is activated.
