Man, those updates on the Jupiter Diamond are sweet. Now, I'm hoping the same types of pics will be found for the Ryujin. I've tried looking myself, but there are SO many ships in or around Europe on the maps that I have no idea where to start. (It's not near Germany anymore, though )
BeeEmDubU: Once the ship arrives at port, I'm giving it about 10 days to be delivered - just to be conservative. I've heard that cars can spend up to a week at the VPC before getting trucked over to the dealer. So, if all goes as planned, we'll be picking up our cars on 6/8 or 6/9! Anybody got a Fast Forward button???

It's Through the Canal:
The JUPITER DIAMOND has transitted the Canal and is in the Pacific Ocean headed towards California. Now, no new until it docks in Port Hueneme. Have a good week everyone. I suspect that by the middle of the week after this coming week, there are going to be a lot of new car owners. I, unfortunately, will have to wait an extra two weeks since I've held my car at the port for a while. L |

For those waiting for the Cassiopeia Leader to get to Port Hueneme, I just noticed that it will be in San Diego at 4AM on May 15th and will leave at 5PM.
I don't know if this is BEFORE or AFTER it goes to Port Hueneme. The Jupiter Leader is scheduled to be in Port Hueneme on the 17th. So, it's possible the ships will be there at the same time. Since the Cassiopeia left 3 days before the Jupiter Diamond, it is possible that it will be in Port Hueneme on the 14th and go down to San Diego the next day. Obviously we can be off by a day or so. I always thought San Diego was the first stop since that's what's happened in the past.....but my ship (Orion Leader) actually went to SD last after PH and LB and then sailed to Japan......which added 150 miles of back-tracking. I think it's more about time slots for the unloading rather than what makes geographic sense. SD is a VW drop and I bet they have far fewer VWs on the ship than BMWs and MBZs...so maybe that has something to do with it.

It's funny, because at 8AM the Jupiter Diamond was NOT on the AIS screen, so it must have just hit the San Diego area.
I'll call NYK and find out when it will be at Port Hueneme and get back to you. Larry |

OK, straight from the horse's mouth:
NYK says the Jupiter Diamond is going to LONG BEACH first and it WILL be in Port Hueneme (Oxnard), as expected, on Wednesday, May 17th. There you have it. USAF, SC, it's only a few days more. Looks like early next week will get you your babies. I can't believe I told my guy to hold the car for 2 weeks.... What WILL I do? I take delivery on June 7th, the day after I turn in my Mercedes. Congratulations everyone. I don't think we'll be posting much more here, other than please let us know HERE when you actually take delivery. That would be a nice CLOSE to this thread. Thanks again all. Larry in Sherman Oaks (Los Angeles) |

Sounds good Larry. If you don't mind, do you think you can check with NYK maybe on the 18th to see if they've completed the ship unload process. Thanks

Cassiopeia Leader leaves San Diego: This is from Sunset Cliffs. The ship has left San Diego Harbor and is in the open ocean sailing north towards Long Beach and Pt Hueneme. Pic just taken in the last 1/2 hour.
