The problem with this thread is the OP set out with the goal of tune comparison. That is bound to initiate tuner wars every time. I don't know why you all get sucked into this crap.

Shiv claims dry shot based on what someone told him + the unusual results. I doubt that this could be verified one way or the other, so it is pointless to argue about.

Regardless, please do your best to keep discussion to helpful information. This reminds me of the ugly side of fans at football games sometimes.

Understandable. This is why it was a good thing that a V3 car was there at the same event. And this same V3 car has dynoed over 400WHP. His times/mph are pretty darn commendable as far as I am concerned. I have invited Shiv over to witness my car run, and then inspect it. With his knowledge, he would certainly know how to find a dry shot system. Remember, from the onset, I invited all to come. In all fairness, if the Procede dominated, SHIV would be all over this, don't you think??

Then when he finds nothing, I will change my signature to "fastest/quickest non-tuner owned 335i, WITH THE LEAST AMOUNT OF MODS!" Just kidding.

I know nothing about N02 systems, and quite frankly have no interest in them at all.
Remember, from the onset, I invited all to come. In all fairness, if the Procede dominated, don't you think Shiv would have been all over this? I would have been the one looking pretty silly! No one knew what the outcome of this event would have been. With minimal mods, I would have been expected to lose, just a matter of how much. And such luck to be able to run side by side with a V3 coupe in the same condtions!

I'm completely neutral also and I think whoever makes the accusations needs to make the effort to prove his accusations are true. Everybody is innocent until proven guilty.

Shiv claims nitrous since the car gained 25 mph in the 2nd half. Jason427 tune only JB3 1 series gained 24 mph, his trap was 114. He was in florida in 67 degrees, on 1.1 map and on less octane. Hotrod was in cali 46 degrees on the 1.2 map and 104 octane. Hotrods test showed his car would gain 1mph with a drop in 10 degrees. So 20 degree temp diff, different map and more octane. To give him the extra 3 mph and gain 1 extra mph in the big end. It all adds up to me!!!

its so amazing that the tuner himself is running some kind of ping pong war here. Grow up man show more class you are the owner right...you straight out look like a fool. Seems like you cant stand getting beat or sorry cant stand to see other cars succeed. Correct me if im wrong but isnt this a bmw forum and shouldnt we all be proud of him. Ive heard his car is a freek also, and honestly hotrod, mr5 have been in these forums for a while and i havent seen anything shady about them...

And please sir, if your so suspucious about his 500 shot of nos then you better get your ass up and go find him and prove him wrong. Dont use your money, dyno or hot dogs and burgers to convince him. What does he have to prove to you? Your the one getting butt hurt.

Here are some pictures of the event. You can see the long lines (which I hate!), and the moist conditons. They wouldn't allow any runs in the morning. And at the end of the day, the track was so bad, I thought I was going to swerve into the wall! So before I took that picture with the wet ground, I did the 1.9 60' time on the street. Pretty sad when the track is that much worse than the street, with 2.1 sec 60' times on the same tires.

In any case, what disappoints me the most is the fact that this is the first time I have witnessed a tuner ask for dyno results rather than track results to prove someone's power levels. If the OP dynoes his vehicle and it comes out at 380whp its going to start another stupid thread. Any true enthusiast knows that dyno numbers mean absolutely NOTHING... A tuner of your calibre knows this at heart as well I'm sure. Now I do believe that you should be allowed to inspect his vehicle and he is giving you that opportunity. Not everything is about the money.

Personally I think this is totally unprofessional and uncalled for how the tuner is accusing the OP so strongly.

It seems like you're trying to embarrass the OP.

grow up.

I'm glad Shiv responded the way he did because people can now see for themselves how he acts. They do not need to here it from me or anyone else when he shows his true colors.

Nice job Hotrod. Looks like the lines are long in Cali, you guys sure take the racing serious. You wouldn't see that kind of turn out in that weather here in Phoenix. I appreciate the info and thanks for sharing.

I recall not too long ago Vishnu was inviting JB owners to have a track day at a race track. as the claim by Shiv was that dyno numbers did not prove what a car can do at the track, nor do dyno numbers tell you how the tune applies power in real life circumstances.

What's with the 180 degree turnaround now? All of a sudden a dyno is requested by the same person who refutes its validity in the first place?

What I don't understand is the significance of inspecting after he dynoes the car. It was not that long ago that I heard Shiv say the dyno doesn't reflect the power and torque you are getting on the road. I agree with that statement. Why now the change? Honeslty this bantering back and forth is lame. Shiv you called him out on it and he has offered to let you inspect it. It should be done on his very fair and easily accessible terms.

Congrats HR182.

Now, how about all fanboys on both sides STFU. Neither side is scoring any points or displaying much intelligence.

wow. This is a sad sad day for Team Shiv.

Shiv why don't you remove all doubt and let everyone know who your "informer" is. Who's this person that told you about his nitrous setup?

Ahh that's right. You don't want to rat anyone out huh? Gotchya.

All that hidden dyno power you v3 guys have must be slowing things down.

First Hotrod shows his VBOX times and shiv says bullshit you can't replicate that in real life.

So he replicates it, twice, at an event that Shiv was invited to.

Now Shiv says, bullshit, it's not stock, I need an inspection.

Hotrod replies, okay come check it out.

Awww now that's not good enough. I need to see it dyno'd.

This is the same guy that said last week dyno's arent accurate at proving how quick a car is. Remember? rev II has special unlocked power that dyno's can't even see.

Kinda off topic here, but what were the times of some of the other cars there yesterday?
Any M cars? (Damn Drew, if you have a new M3 loaner while your car is in the shop, I would of for SURE brought that thing to the track yesterday.)

Any G8 GT's or Challengers?

Hotrod182's secret is the enemas he does prior to his runs (no pun intended). Each enema is good for 2 mph+ trap speed.

I say we load Shiv and Hotrod182 with Kaopectate and force each to eat 4 Double Whoopers. That will prove who has the best tune.

After 5 pages of banter, and others throwing up their experiences and slips...Hotrod182...it's official!!...most level-headed people BELIEVE YOU

I run the JB3, but many months ago when I saw 390hp/390lbs 91oct Vx.x dyno graph posted, I didn't witness the poo poo parade/disbelief then. Even when no one else ran close to those numbers. Some have run close to Hotrod182's ET/Trap with similar set ups, and those few have spoken...so it makes sense to me.

Enjoy your car...and if it's faster than someone else's, they will have to get over it
