hey guys i dont have pictures of my accident but i totalled my old coupe complete undercarriage was ripped out and the roof warped. i was going about 100 or o and had traction control off lost control went over 2 curbs a triangle and slid up the side of I-95 in florida. i got out of the car with three fractured vertebrae. my fathers an orthopedic surgeon came to the scene. drove me to his office for x rays. my favorite thing about our cars that made me feel so much more safer was BMW Assist. "Hello Mr. Cooper? your car sent me a signal that you were involved in a crash are you alright?.... please stay on the line ill contact the police for you." makes you feel better knowing someone is there for you. i wish i had picture to show you guys tho. the complete under carriage of the car was torn out and the rear wheels were pushed back a good 4-5 inches.

Aramark truck cut me off, plus hit a pothole spun a couple times then sideways into a firehydrant, corner of a building, and finally lay into a fence.
Loving BMW assist. and Not a scatch on me

Weird Crash

Hey Guys,

I've finally decided to register on this forum after reading it often.
I was in a weird accident today...
There was a deep ditch running along a thin pavement road...
328xi was going 30km/hr after turning right...
went for 20 feet or so, and just slid right into the ditch...

The car stood perpendicular to the ground planted right into the ditch...
Amazingly... the mirror was still attached when it was pulled back up...
a dent each on the doors... need new paint job... suspension and transmission work maybe... tore the front of the rear bumper...

Man it was just so weird.
One second it was perfect driving...
next second i was being held in by the seat belt

Thank goodness for them...
(Air bags didn't deploy)

Any thoughts on what else might have been damaged?
I saw white smoke coming out of the rear exhaust shaft right about where the rear wheels are... I hope that's not a bad sign...

(Car is at insurance company and will be inspected soon)
Thanks for any comments!

Sorry, I'm still so out of it =(
Can't believe my car might be wrecked going 30k/hr (20 ish m/hr)

My girlfriend is yelling at me for caring more about the car than myself.
I just hope and pray all it needs is cosmetic treatment.

Sorry guys I probably should have taken pictures.
I considered it at the moment, but decided not to because the sight was almost ridiculous. Just imagine a car that looks perfectly fine except that its planted sideways in a ditch. Thank goodness me and my passenger were both safe.

GO BMWS!!

Boy thats a real crash in the crash sense.
How did the driver do?
That frame looks gone right about where he sat.

its right hand drive so the damage is done mostly on the passenger side.... had there been a passanger there then there would be nothing left of them as that's where the car wraps around the pole.... the guy got out with a couple of scratches

Glad you are okay! That last pics makes your car look like it's running on hydraulics. Slammed!
