Ironically, brands like Hyundai have said they're backpedaling from touch screens, while brands like BMW seem to be continuing full steam. Confusing.

I personally prefer the idrive7 just because you get the touch screen as well as the control turn knob still, not too comfortable with just a single digital panel to control 99% of the stuff, what if it breaks down?

My ones dark grey, I'm always tempted by the 'Ring but it's quite a journey with all the expense just for that so if I really wanted to risk a track then it would be much closer at say the Bedford autodrome after arranging the insurance, that is if it's still continuing with that.
I could even be better off joining BMW GB car club themselves who likely arrange track sessions at places like Brands and other tracks similar to what Porsche GB do.

You can never know how the weather will be on arrival I guess and given the distance it's not easy to plan a 'perfect' day. Potentially flying in and just renting with boosted boris may be more convenient..

Been to a few BTCC car meets and glad with BMW finally grabbing the drivers title via Jake Hill crushing cockney Sutton and Kia man Ingram. The hybrid cars are a little quieter as of late but the loudest I'v heard were the DTM cars a few seasons ago, ear muffs or inserts were a must.
