I honestly think the site is less than it was. Not technically, but in terms of participation and interest. I think you've lost people and maybe aren't attracting as many new ones.

One possible cause is that you tossed out the 1Addicts general forums and replaced them with the Bimmerpost forums. I think that was a big mistake because you assumed that one big forum is better than multiple small ones, but one of the reasons I joined 1Addicts was to meet other 1 owners and share our perspectives. You reduced 1Addicts to the technical forums and took away the general stuff. I don't think you can have as good a community that way.

and very true, I was talking to a fellow addict and he told me he has been to the boards very few times since the merge..

i keep checking on stuff so I lurk and read stuff and post as needed. It truly is not as active and close group.

and could be the leased lic was up and didn't want to pay another year and merged - no overhead. clearly speculation on my part.

180 to purchase - 40-60 yr for support from vB
100 to lease - yr
