The GTR makes around 475 on a dynapack dyno. They read alot higher. You'd need race gas and more boost to make those numbers on a dynojet. But if they have proper fans hit me up untouchable and we can go there next time

they have proper fans and the garage was more organized. if you want to go we can set up something. though next time i dyno im going to be running either a different map, or going to start from stratch and go with a different tune.

Accuracy wasn't my point. The fact that it reads higher is my point and a proven one as well. Mustang dynos read alot lower than dynojets as well. The whole point of dynoing is to calculate gains over stock. Using the same dyno all the time is useful so you can see the improvements made on the car after new mods. Basically all of us yesterday would of dynoed 20-30 whp more on a dynapack. You gained 89 whp over map 0 and yesterday 72 whp over map 0 which isn't surprising on a dynapack. I gained 86 whp over map 0 yesterday so on a dynapack 100 whp would of been quite possible. The lack of a fan in front of the intercooler when running high boost like map 6 will give inconsistent and lower results. No wonder the ones running the stock IC had graphs that were all over the place compared to mine and yours. Accuracy has nothing to do with the fact that all dynos read differently. In fact no dynos are accurate unless they have the facility Dinan does with 80 mph fans.

first of all the fan that they were using was position way to far from the car and the place i went today it put one big fan in front of the car and then two fans closer to the IC. but obviously no dyno is accurate because it is still 10% or so less than what you can push to the wheels from what i hear. but we can always go dyno again on a dynopack and see the graph.

I'm still trying to find out what all this talk about smoothness is about. I can't imagine mine being smoother or more desirable on my JB3 Map#6. I usually get up to speed just fine on map #6, and then in most of your driving when you are just cruising, you barely have any pressure on the gas pedal anyways. This car accelerates so strongly, that you would be going over the speed limit very quickly if you have any more throttle than just slight pressure to maintain your speed.

+1. Sometimes higher boost on a dyno is a no no without adequate airflow. I'm sure the stock IC is fine in real world driving conditions. But I did learn that the stock ICs are a weak link. Untouchables and my graph were the smoothest ones because the larger ICs helped. But Hotrods description of how map 6 runs is right on target with my experience. It pulls like a freight train at WOT and partial throttle is quite smooth and decieving when you look at the the tach and realize how fast yer going.

but when i compare this to AA graph AA is much more smoother because boost is constant, and doesnt just kick in at a certain rpm if you get what i mean.

My car runs absolutely great on 91 octane, Map #6. A legitimate low 12 second combination with the 91 octane. Hotter temps, higher elevations may be a different story though. I've been running it in temps from 39F-82F with no problems though.

There is a 40 ft lb of torque drop on many of those cars, that's VERY significant in a driving scenario. |
