Well, since Dinan is charging $449.00 for the NA models. Which is a hose clamp, some clothes dryer duct, some sheat metal, and a snazzy nameplate that you rivet to your stock box. Prepare to open your wallets, the 335 model looks a bit more fancy

This isn't very convenient. I might personally hold back because of this.

But for some plastic tubing, I won't pay more than 400.....I'd still rather get an injen DCI for that money...Injen makes quality intakes, with a LOT and spend a lot of time and money on R&D as well, so if they charge $400 for theirs, which looks SIIIIIICK, and sounds amaaaaaazing, then Dinan has no reason to charge any more than that. I'm not just writing this to "share my opinion", or "vent", but I really hope Steve reads this, and all of our comments, and passes on to whoever at Dinan will ultimately be responsible for pricing.....

There. Sorry.

FWIW: I had a similar "snorkel" air cleaner for the Dinan supercharger on my '95 M3, mounted low, behind an open duct (on a lowered car) I never once had an issue with contamination getting by the filter. I changed it anytime I went under the front end for suspension work, major service and the last time during a clutch upgrade. No probs at all. Never. I just hope the new one has a reasonable cost / benefit ratio. I WOULD like to know if a re-flash will be required to maximize the performance gains.
JMH input.

How much did you pay for that, and how often did you have to change it. How much did it cost? I think you might get 5hp more. Doubt you feel anything at all, but might get better throttle response. How much better? I don't have a clue.

Maybe I'm wrong, but with a sufficient intercooler, it seems like a cold air intake may be unnecessary. I'd rather spend a couple hundred extra on the IC to get whatever the best one available is and only have one install to worry about.

Yo vase330:
The behind-the-splitter snorkel was an integral part of the supercharger kit. There was never an intercooler for the '95, 3.0 liter engines. Mine went from 240 - 342 crank, which included bigger injectors and bigger throttle body, and an old school chip. About $7K as I recall.

Cool. Does your Dinan 335 feel a lot faster than the M3. I imagine the 335 has ton more torque too right?

Did this ever come to be? I was trying to get on the dinan site but either it's down or they're out of business!
