Amazing... What brand gas are you guys using to achieve these dynos?
My car seems to run better on Shell Vpower 91, than Sonoco 94...

Well I'd think if the default is the middle and it's 2.75 psi that two clicks up from there would put you into that desired 3.75-4.0 psi increase range. One more up from that should be in the 4.25-4.5 range and the top notch is the 4.75-5.0 psi increase range.

You'd have to verify with Terry however.

Well, I had a mix and match gas.

I had 91.5- 92 Octane in the car the previous days which was mostly Unocal 76 Premium 91 in which I added 1 gallon of Sunoco 104 to my last fill up.

But we wanted to have runs that were 91 Octane so I ran that 91.5-92 Octane down to nearly empty then added a few gallons of Shell V-Power 91.

Then drove on that for a bit to readjust back down to 91 Octane.

Then did the dynos with about 4 gallons of the 91 Octane of mostly Shell V-power left in the tank.
All the dyno runs burned a half gallon or so. As the dial was about a line below the 1/4 tank mark and my distance to empty gauge said 73 miles. So we figured I had about 3.5 gallons of the 91 Octane left.
At that point we added roughly 3/4 gallon of Sunoco 104 to that to make the estimated 93.5-94 Octane total.

So for the most part the gas was mostly Shell V-power 91 with a bit of Sunoco 104 mixed in. But the original 91 Octane that I added the Shell V-power too was Unocal 76

AFAIK, have not seen a thread or post stating the sstt @ +3.5psi is diagnostically invisible...the only post I read was that the sstt is limp code, error message free with post 29.2 owners.....

I think T is erroring on the side of caution when stating for post 29.2 users to stay at default, +2.75 psi...

Thanks for your response...Just for clarification, wouldn't the tune be considered "diagnostically invisible" if it is error code free?

I'd like to see some dyno numbers on a post 29.2 car with Dinan S2 and JB+ at default or below.

That's right, and it's not odd, because you've got a 50/50 mixture at that point, so it would be half way between the two. Split the difference of 9 octane in half, you get 4.5, add that to 91, and it's 95.5! Voila!

In other words, if you're "MSD80 and 29.2" OR MSD81 (regardless of version), or just for people in the first category you're recommending it? What about those with MSD81? They should definitely have the BT tool then regardless of their version?

actually no, tuner codes can be set off without you knowing....no error codes in your cluster or iDrive...

So it is better not to turn it up, I guess I will see how good the default setting is before turning it up.
Just it puzzles me that I could be throwing a tuner code with my car when i previously had the sstt, but i guess turning up the jb+ a bit won't hurt either.

right are you post 29.2 and have you ever scanned your car with or after the sstt, before the jb+? That's the only way for sure you'd know if you "threw" a tuner code. No CEL or LIMP, does not = invisible...

Pro version of the BT? No only the Enthusiast version if you're only doing it on your own car and maybe your dad's car.

No you don't need the Pro version of a Mac. Not sure if you're asking that also.

I have the BT Enthusiast running on my macbook pro using boot camp, works like a champ, BT is well worth the money to give you that piece of mind going to the dealer.

After seeing this thread and the difference that the octane made in higher boost seetings. I decided to test this out myself, since I have my JB+ at one click before 100%. So during my lunch break I decided to add some 100oct to my tank. I added 4 gallons of 100 to my already existing 4 gallons of 91. Which should bring me to roughly about 95oct. I drove the car aggresively around on the local "closed/private roads " and I can completely feel a difference in response and power. All I can say is WOW and I wish racing fuel didn't cost 7.95 a gallon, but it is totally worth it seeing the difference it made with the JB+!

No, you need to buy the BT tool, and a second JB+ for me.
