Been to the paintshop - I'll be £130 lighter in my pocket in a couple of weeks time. That's an awful lot of pocket money for a five year old!

Well it wasn't quite like that it was more like boy with scooter, adjacent to car with scooter handle at right level for scratch, with him denying the damage! It was [probably] comical to watch

A good chance for a lesson there.

Believe me, he got a lesson alright! He knew he'd done wrong afterwards, nip it in the bud now.

Well great.. after my earlier post about her indoors taking a chunk out of the paintwork slamming her door into mine, some braindead prole has done the same again

Tesco's car-park - just because you all look like pikeys doesn't mean it's the dodgems FFS

Both scrapes are right on the swage line and fortunately not left a dent; unfortunately on 2 different panels. Has anyone used Dent Devils or similar for such a repair? I'm hoping it will be un-noticeable once repaired.

Folks, if you are in London I recommend heading down to Westfield in Sheppherd's Bush and doing your shopping there. It has wiiiiiiiide car parking spaces... not only that it has hi-tech electronic bay markings with red/green LEDs above to show if a bay is occupied or not, so you can spot one from a distance.

I always choose my parking spaces wisely and have been known to wait until a suitable one becomes available touch OCD I know, It still amazes me when you park miles with spaces around someone parks next to you, I am sure they think

"oh look at that car on it own it must be lonely I will park next to the poor thing"

Any way my next door neighbours boyfriend reversed off the drive the other night in his beaten up green pug he is only 17 and scraped the neighbours car that was parked on the road, Its a black Audi now with green scuff marks to the bumper, what amazed me was he never batted an eyelid and drove off. 2 days later he has obviously traded it in for a megane vert thing maybe in the hope they won't remember the bogie green pug. Not sure what to do? tell him I know, or tell the neighbour it will prob buff out but talk about taking the proverbial.

Well accidents happen and I never park in disabled bays, purely because i'm grateful I don't need to but there's one thing that winds me up and thats when you get families, I mean mum and dad WATCHING their offspring banging their doors into the car next to them and not saying a thing.

I've actually seen this happen. It makes me worry for the future of society.

I go out of my way to park in wider "parent and child" spaces (we have a car seat in case our little one isn't in the car!) or find the emptiest spot I can. I'll even drive a couple of extra miles to a supermarket with more/bigger spaces.

I'd say most of the dents and scratches I've had on all my cars have been from supermarket car parks over the years. Very annoying.

I've tried the 'park as far away as possible' but in my experience it means walking a long way back to find the car surrounded. Friends freely admit to parking next to an expensive car asit makes theirs feel safe. The worst place to park is at the airport. Spent two years parking daily at Gatwick and ended up with dents/scrapes in every panel and both bumpers split

What the hell difference does the weekend make? Hope you are never genuinely in need of a disabled space. When my father in law was still alive, we were in need and saw several selfish drivers like you parking there 'nice' cars in designated spaces, thereby causing us considerable difficulty when there were no spaces available.
