Sorry for the OT, but the brand name "Macht Schnell" makes me smile as I know German It means "Makes (it) fast". I believe the manufacturer is located in the US, right?

The 335i automatics were running into limp modes because of high coolant temps. I would like a gauge with coolant temps, boost, and either air temp or egt.

Gauges don't plug into the OBD and are not wifi.. Does some-one have a list of where one could easily put which sensor? I had a look under the hood and cant' find any location. To install boost / IAT drilling and welding bosses onto the intercooler seems the only option? Coolant? EGT? Too bad all this stuff is on the OBD but no-one seems to offer an interface box or something..

I would rather be using independent monitoring using the proper sending units rather than relying on BMW's sensors.

A metering block to retain both will give the best of both worlds.

Will this fit on a 2009 E90? Didn't they redesign the interior slightly for 2009?

cant wait. btw tom, any idea if the gauge pod will give enough clearance to the ashtray cover so it could close. That way we can still retain some oem feel at times.

i highly doubt that, to fit the gauges and you would need a lot of space and some custom work to get it to close

I dont have an ashtray. I have some sort of "tray" as does every 2009 I saw on the lot.

Will this fit in it? If so I want one.

We need to know.

Look closely at the pics... It looks as if the lid section has been removed and only the "hole" remains. You will enver get an ashtray closed with this in there.

2009s do NOT have an ashtray, this needs to be tested for fit on an 09 as well.

Alot of us are going be/ are running an other boost gauge -

The essentials for this pod would be Boost/Vac, Oil Pressure, Oil Temp, IAT would be nice, and AFR might be as well for those running a boost gauge elsewhere.

Also a more "plug and play" gaguge solution would be preferred. There has to be a solution for this some how. I for one am not going to be drilling and adding bungs to places that coulld possibly leak and void my warranty. I havent been under the hood of my 335 yet, other than t admire a bit, but anythign that requires drilling a hole somewhere and not just "tapping on" is going to be a big NO as long as mine is under warranty.

We've installed our fibre kits on LCI models with no problems - the ashtray/storage consoles are the same for 2009.

2010 may be a different story, we'll see as soon as the models are released.

YESSS..Finally, can wait to get an order in. quick question, how long approx is the installation time of this(removing ash-tray, placing the pod, wiring, etc)...Also as one other member asked, is there any drilling required for the installation of the bungs??A more pnp solution would be ideal as my car is in warranty and I do not want to do anything to jeopardize it...
