It depends on the specific dealer, it's best to ask up front. We do not charge labor for reflashing.

So if the tune (let's say stage 1) has a torque target and already reaches it with the given mods whether stock or not, wouldn't more mods not increase the torque output? Or does the tune develop it's target based on the mods?

To me it seems like mods might decrease the pressure on the turbos and engine through less backpressure, IAT's etc., but won't increase the actual power if the target was already reached before the mods. Is that right?

flash could run you anywhere from 799-899 + labor (if applicable)...

GIAC i dont believe will allow the discounting of the flash for any reason, however if you couple the flash with other products from some vendors they may discount their product to make up for it...

hope that helps, there are several sponsors on this forum who you can contact regarding GIAC...

S1 Flash is $800, labor is included at our facility. Other dealers may differ, it's best to inquire in advance.

Not well, as the dyno showed less power than the stock catback. We're back to the stock piece at the moment.

JB3 is a hell of a tune and was always good to me.

The flash is a different animal and I look forward to the release of the GIAC Stage 2!!!

I had my first experience with a Stg. 1 GIAC today thanks to Tyson at Twin T in Las Vegas. He took me for a ride in a E92 335i with Stg. 1. I was blown away.

I have made my decision from that ride. I will be getting it very soon.

Well i was expecting that ... it seems that everytime someone tries to get more power from the stock catback the results are dissapointing to say the least. In Europe both Schnitzer, Noelle and others failed to do so.

By the way in Athens, Greece we do have a Giac dealer but it seems that he does not work with Bmw's is it up to the dealer to decide ? Is there anything he can do to help me get the stage 1 ?

GIAC is different.... the power is almost instant, and consistent EVERY time at the same throttle position.

For the smoothness i would like to see graphs which compare the smoothness of GIAC to JB3...

sorry but i only believe evidence and not opinion... therefore i will believe it when i see it...

If your local dealer is unwilling to help, we can bench-flash for you and have the DME returned via International Priority.

Expect many graphs to show proof very soon.

Hey Tom,

Will GIAC allow me to get Stage two if I have the original exhaust but with the secondary cats removed?

Thanks

If you want to compare just pop the GIAC off in your garage and put the JB3 2.0 on for a few days.
