Just loving the E36 M3.

I think these are cool again after a brief spell in chavdom - especially when left stock. You'll all shoot me for saying it but I think it would look good with the original chrometastic grills!

Not sure about the car-bra though......

Haha I knew it wouldn't be long before you guys came round!!

She absolutely loved the Ring - incredibly stable on and off the track, turns in sharply and feels nimble. The diff (which is leaking oil now) really works to push her round corners and I think it's definately different amongst all the newer cars we will be taking in May!!

I think with better weather, more lap time and growing confidence I'll put in some fast laps!!

Tony is an excellent instructor so thanks to him and I hope I can help talk others round next time even if I'm just giving passenger laps. I now remember 95% of the track and I can't wait for more!!

I just realised I haven't contributed to this thread since I got back from the 'Ring!

Thanks to all that came along - the guys from Luxembourg & Germany certainly made it interesting!! I think Ant in particular will have fond(!) memories of a chap called 'Speedy' who ably demonstrated the art of brutal gas pedal usage...!

I was extremely happy to see Matt's M3 make it through the weekend largely unscathed, save for an emergency wheel bearing repair! It's a great car that M3, cheap as anything, yet still goes well and handles brilliantly. Definitely needs driving hard to extract the power, but it rewards the effort.

Was great to see Marcel and his car again - it's becoming more and more like a twin brother of mine! Was good to see Marcel remembering much more of the 'Ring this time round, and certainly the lap times have come tumbling down (despite the rain and fairly slippery track)

Matt did very well on his first outing - I think ten or eleven laps overall. I don't think the same can be said for some of our German friends though - perhaps they were too scared of the rain, but they didn't make the most of the opportunity (all bikes had been banned for the weekend, so it was great for us car drivers)

In all, I did over two dozen laps - was a bit apprehensive at first as the car was on its first outing since the turbos were done, but in the end all turned out very well. Will put some track tyres on for May I think (hopefully there'll be no rain!)

The highlight for me I think was on the way back from Germany... I won't forget the memory of the biker in front of me staring with concern into his mirrors at the sight of a black BMW wedged firmly up his rear can at 180mph !!
