Again, it's just my personal opinion of who I will send my own money to. I've stated what I would have done in the same situation and gave you my opinion. You came here and posted to get other people's opinions. Now you are escalating and pumping up the drama yet again when someone actually gives you the opinions you solicited.
no....i think the whole situation was escalated when the buyer decided to reply with:

"It was your choice to take an asshole attitude towards this rather then just refund the money and take the damn things back so you asked for this."

OP's initial response didnt' escalate anything, he was just stating the facts. after that "asshole attitude" comment, i'm sure i would've been pretty peeved too.....

btw....you seem to be taking this pretty personally

Would that meet your standards and make you happy, sir?
Don't do anything for me, I'm not the buyer.

Follow up with the buyer and find out why the buyer said the pedal came up and inch short, not me. Something you failed to do.

They both escalated.

As far as taking this personally, not a chance. But if people respond to my posts, I tend to respond back. Is there a problem with that? The OP asked for opinions, and continued to post more questions directed at me. Now you have too. Should I not respond to you?

wow.. even though I said I respected your opinion etc.. which I still do... I am quite offended to your remarks. It seems you don't respect mine or others at all and just think that you are right...
That is being hypocritical and not following your own statements.
If i made a mistake and misunderstood, please do feel free to correct me.

Quick question:
Have you ever said something and not followed it through 100%? in your entire life?
are you trying to say when you say X, or that you won't say X, that, 100% of the time, you follow through?
As a human being, I feel that it quiet impossible.
But if that is the case for you, then you are above us all other regular human beings. (no sarcasm)

Jesus, why is persian54 getting crucified because the buyer didn't do his research to see if the pedals would fit?

Let me set up an example. Say persian54 was selling a LCI M Tech kit for an E60 5 series. And say that I bought. When I go to install it and it doesn't fit because my E60 is a Pre-LCI, how is that the sellers fault? I fucked up. It's my problem to deal with. Not his. I can't expect him to refund my money because he is not a vendor.

I must have missed the memo. I didn't know private sellers now have return policies.

I like this example.
Like when people buy an e92 spoiler and are surprised that it doesn't fit their e90...

+1 lol

i don't think I'm getting crucified... It's one individual with a very strong opinionated mind; which is something I do have respect for. He'd make quiet a lawyer/politician (unless he is actually one, then I wouldn't be surprised)

I'm surprised he hasn't responded to my morning email about me agreeing to the refund though... maybe he decided to drill the holes? or use strong adhesive?

May I ask you to elaborate what you mean by "for your own good"?

It doesn't seem to be going in my favor or against my favor.
Which is what great debates/arguments/etc are all about.

Or else what? Is OP in your sniper rifle's crosshairs?

You've made a weak case for returning the money and people called . One would say it's for YOUR own good this discussion cease.

Lol. Opinionated or not, this is a cut and dry case.

I'm surprised the buyer didn't expect you to fly out to him and install them too. Lol

Let's take that example and apply it to this actual situation.

Do you think it would be right if you were selling an e92 spoiler, and somebody with an e90 asked you if it fit their e90 and you said yes and YOU were wrong?

Translated to apply to your example:

"He just pmed me a few weeks asking if an e92 spoiler would fit his e90... and I said "yes"

I don't know who is right about the dead pedal length, but you never followed up with the buyer, so you don't know if he has a valid complaint or not either.
