Patrys, new to thread but i have a 2007 335d Coupe with the CCC (I think) set up, i have the opportunity to buy a CIC Monitor, new style idrive controller and unit itself with the DVD drive, however all the wiring etc is missing.

Would you be able to supply any idditional parts I need and the expert advise etc for me to fit and get this unit working and if so at what cost.

Cheers

Hello guys !

My name is Vlad and I am from Canada. Not long time ago I got my BMW E70 2007 X5 with no factory nav. I got and installed retrofit CCC professional nav in it. Now I am required to program my nav system at the dealer and this is the problem because I do not want my dealer to know about this retrofit installation for now.
Can someone generate and send me FSC files codes for activation of my nav system, of course I will pay for it for sure. I just do not know who can help me with this. Please suggest if there is a person at this forum which may have an access to BMW system.

Thank you very much,
Vlad

Thumbs up for Patryk for coding my retrofit E92 LCI tail lights.

Excellent communication and coding got rid of the "light show" upon start up and removed the bulb error.

Hi Guys!

Hi there! Firstly I would like to welcome myself to the forum - I'm a bit new here and have signed up because I read this post about the great looking retrofit kits. I live in Johannesburg and I drive a new (2010) X1 and would like to retrofit the complete iDrive system. I am pretty good with retrofits (I did it with my previous two cars - MINI Cooper S and Audi TT) and have a bit of experience in fitting the parts. I also have a few friends at my local BMW dealer who are willing to *help* me in exchange for a few beers :-)

My question is for Patrys:

Can you help me with the required parts to do the complete install in my X1 (CIC, Display, Antenna and iDrive Controller)?

It might be difficult to find used parts for your X1...
If you get them somewhere I can help you with the Navigation activation.

I already have iDrive just the older version (DVD based 07). Selling the old parts may cover half of the costs? maybe?

Anyone know what an old iDrive system will go for?

Let me quote myself:
The limitations of the CIC retrofit:
- no HD Radio in the US (the CIC is the Euro spec, the brand new US spec CIC is 600Euro extra)
- if your car was produced before September 2008 and you would like to have the car software updated by your dealership you will have to put your old CCC or Radio back in the car (it takes around 20 minutes to do the swap). According to BMW cars produced before the CIC was introduced could not have the CIC installed.

of course i saw that note. But I wouldn't mind fronting the money and making some of it (hopefully half) back when i sell the old iDrive.
Honestly i love my car but the iDrive is one of the reasons I wish i had a 09 model. So this retrofit may just be worth it IMO if I can get the cost down.
