No more waste gate rattle! Yes! That alone makes the 6-16 maps worth getting. I lowered the waste gate position setting from 90 and the lower I went the less apparent the rattle but 50 seems to be the sweet spot for mine. Thanks Shiv.

6-16 Autotune tested. I was not impressed after the first test run. The boost did not increase at all from my initial setting of 15 PSI. I did expect it should climb to anything between 18 and 19 PSI since I use meth and 95 octane.

Back home I double checked my settings and found that the autotune was disabled by mistake. I did the setting from a picture that was supplied with the new map and firmware. The picture has a printing error. The activation of Autotune is done by a "2" and not a "1" as stated in picture. The correct setting is also written there but I missed that. The information in the User Software menu, which I used later, is correct.

The next test showed that the Autotune works perfectly fine. After a few pulls I got about 18.5 PSI on 4 th gear at every pull .

Great achievement Shiv and thanks for providing this feature and other interesting upcoming stuff

How can I get the new software up and running from .txt to .zip. I have no idea how to do this. What file do I put it in after the download. Can anyone help in detail. Thanks a million. Not good with computers.

This is how I did in Vista. I located the .txt file in a new map, which is created by right click and select new map. Then I selected show file extensions in map options. It was then just to change .txt to .zip and unzip it as usual. The unzipped map is fully funtional and you can run the user software by just clicking on the PDE reader icon.

Thank you! I was driving myself crazy trying to figure out why boost was not changing at all.

r1000k3 from what I understood is that the procede does not autotune yet for methanol injection. So did you put auto tuning on map 1 and map2 and then it tune for meth?

Yes

The Procede has always had many great features but the Autotune is really awesome. I think people with upgraded turbos would benefit a lot if they would use a Procede.

So did it change the map 1 settings during the same pull or just map 2? I was actually going to wait until meth tuning was activated to try this but if it is working now I might give it a shot.

I have both maps defined for Autotune and use map 2 for meth. Map 1 will only be used when I run out of meth, it has a lower UT setting. Basically there is no need to change to map 1 for this situation since the Procede indirectly will know when there is no meth left and will then detune map 2.

You will not see any changes in the user menus when the Procede increase the boost, this can only be seen on a boost gauge (and in logs).

You can use map 1 or map 2 with and w/o meth, they have the same functionality.

That is correct, I'm not running progressive methanol in the sense that the meth system is connected to the Procede like the Labonte system. I'm using a stand-alone system from Coolingmist, which is progressive in itself by flowing meth progressively based on boost. I could use the Coolingmist system in the same way as the Labonte if i would, and send a 100mV/100mL flow signal to the Procede, but have chosen to use it stand alone at the moment to not haveseveral control loops competing with each other.

is the progressive methanol still working...I know if you set future 1 to a value more than 0 then boost autotuning is not working...I am not worried about that but need to know is progressive meth is still working

At this time, it is autotune or progressive meth, not both... After testing the boost autotune last night, it's fair to say the benefits from running the boost autotune is far greater than progressive meth. I really did love the progressive meth setup as it will reduce or sustain boost target based on meth flow. You can hold off on it for now though I'd say.

It seems as though autotune is a little more selective when it learns...It seems to learn only at WOT and somewhere from 3500-4000 unlike before...

Hi guys,
Progressive meth with Autotune will be enabled next week. I just wanted to do one thing at a time right now. Until then, just be careful when running high boost (17+psi) on meth. Because if meth fails, you will way too aggressive. And relying on autotuning to dial it back isn't a great idea because it will take several seconds of WOT for it to dial it back it back down. The Progressive meth logic is far far far better in this respect.

Also, yes, the AutoTune learning conditions have changed. There is no lower RPM limit however. It will active at any time, regardless of RPM. But there are several over conditions that need to get satisfied. And there are a bunch of "dynamic" conditions implemented as well. Which mean that it will not learn to run higher boost (at higher engine speeds) until the engine actually sees and "tests" those higher engine speeds. So simply doing at 3000-4000 pulls on, say race gas, will not get it to ramp up boost to high boost levels. Instead, the car will actually have to drive through the engine speeds that have the higher boost targets. It's exceptionally cool and way more advanced than the ignition correction-only AutoTune logic we had introduced earlier. It needed to be since boost was no in the mix.

I'm very happy to hear that people are enjoying it. And the Wastegate rattle fix is pretty darn cool too. It works well because it uses CAN data as activation/deactivation conditions, not simply applied TPS/MAP which has the potential to introduce low load driveability issues that many of you former jb3 guys were aware of.

OOOOOoooooo, Great Work so far! I'm so itching for the Progressive Meth + Autotune to become public so I can get it before my car leave the workshop! Perhaps I should hold off on dyno for now on 5-15?

The Procede V4 Autotune already exceeded all my expectation. So much smooth power. Awesome!!!

I almost got a ticket from doing WOT on a 40 mph zone. I was doing around 80 - 90 mph on 3rd when a cop car pulled into my road at a junction. He gave chase but I manage to get away by hiding at a nearby parking lot. Phew! Close call indeed.
