I'm interested.

How easy is the place to get to? Is it more East or West Midlands (ie is it M1 or M6) to get down there from the North?

I have a maybe/maybe not to do go to on Sat night, but will be in Doncaster on Sunday if I do, so could poss head over if it is not too difficult a trip from there. Failing that, if my arrangement is cancelled on Sat night then will poss come down and stay.

If coming down the M6 it is Junction 14 (North Midlands really) - if your in Donny the night before head down the M1 and join the A50 at Derby - follow the sign for Uttoxeter and the A518 will bring you into Stafford crossing the A51 - The Dog & Doublet is just off the A51 a couple of miles off the A518)

Depends what time you guys are planning on arriving in Stafford - I was thinking meet in your hotel bar, say 7-7:30 ish and then visit a few drinking establishments in town. Then do the curry later, 9:30 ish?

The only large portion I EVER imagine I'd receive would be food!!

I usually do a few beers first and then food later - it is quite a busy curry house 'early doors' so usually let the muppets eat first and then get better food & better service a little later

If you wanna do food early on and then a beers after, thats fine by me - thats what I was trying to ascertain in post #79

You just need a small snack at tea time to keep you going....

Evening before is definately out. Desperately trying to keep some time free for fun & games on Sunday but my house seeming to be falling apart at the seems isn't helping much . Leave it with me.
