Does your kit have problems tron? I don't remember hearing anything about an ashtray problem with yours?

You also got the kit months and months ago.

Can anyone confirm that this problem applies to both black and silver trim? I ordered silver and have yet to have a chance to install it.

It did Jon. But, I was determined to install the kit. Hence, I modified the ashtray to make it fit. I installed every single piece, save the ashtray, and I was not going to take every part off and send it back. I have decent dremel skills and made a fit that was satisfactory. I still the kind, despite the fitment issues.

Can one of you guys take some pictures of the problem areas? I ordered the CF but FedEx lost my package so I’m trying to decide if I should reorder or not.

There was a flood in the country that produces this product for us... we haven't heard from them in over 2 weeks... which is very bad because we have a MASSIVE shipment we just paid for and have yet to receive... Updates when available.

if they order more black trim, I doubt they'll offer you at that cheap of a price, the price listed are below cost blow out sale. So I am sure once the stock is clear, they're not gonna order it to sell below their cost. They retail for about 700 bucks

Finding out about the ash trays.

Update: Sold another silver kit. We have one, maybe 2 kits left at this price, then this product disappears from our site.

I just installed my CF trim and there are two issues (as stated above)
1. The ashtray: I did make the ashtray fit (Dremel) but it doesn’t open very well.
2. The start stop button: The hole is to big so I used cm3rc’s idea with the rubber band and now it fits snug.

Someone post a pic of the problem and I'll see if our supplier will cover this.. I need to see the ashtrays and what's wrong with them! If nobody posts, I can't get new parts!

I can’t take pictures because mine is already installed. The problem I ran into was the small lip that is on the underside of the ashtray cover and the width of the edges that run from front to back. It seems the front lip corners are to small and the side edges are to wide to slide the cover all the way on. I had to us a Dremel and make the side edges smaller in width so the four clips on the back of the cover could snap in. It fits, but not like it should. I can’t push down on the cover to open it. I have to push down and then slide it back with my fingers to open. It’s too bad they don’t make the center consol without an ashtray cover. Maybe this weekend I will take the center consol off and take some pictures for you.

The other problem is the Start/Stop button doesn’t fit like it should. They made the hole for the module to large. There are two tension clips that run lengthwise on the back of the module, they don’t quite snap into place. Like I said above, I use a rubber band and put it around the module to make it tight. It works for now but not ideal. I will take some pictures of it for you as well.

regarding the ashtray..i also had to trim to fit the clips on the back of the cover to snap in. it still wouldnt fit right so i used double sided tape to secure the cf trim on the ashtray. so basically wen i open the ashtray it wont click and open automatically but i have to nudge it to open the ashtray. if ne thing i'll take some photos and a video and pm it to jlevi sw. thanks
