i never like to go driving on near emty tank so i constantly refuel. I don't know why but its probably fear that my car would stop cos i have run out of fuel.

I think I need to put this whole thread into perspective.
Let's assume that you do 20,000 Kms a year. 12L / 100Km = about 1650L used per year. Say $1.25 for 98 octane and $1.15 for regular (anyway, there is usually a 10c difference before anyone picks on every minute detail of this post). 98 octane cost = $2080pa 95 octane cost = $1916pa So, there is a grand cost saving of $165 per year by using 95 over 98. For a bunch of people with $50,000+ cars I can't believe $165 per year is an issue... Just put 98 octane in and be thankful that petrol in Aus is so bloody cheap anyway! |

^which is what i do
on another note: my dad refuels on half, always, i say run it down abit, but he says "Soemthing could go wrong, and i dont wanna be refueling".. and i think of it as, if a BMW ran out of fuel on the side of the road, it'd be embarrising, i dont know, but seeing BMW's brake down is weirder then seeing fords and holdens brake down:S

i think it'd be more than 20k
i once spoke to an M3 owner who went a bit overboard and f*kd his engine = 30k repair bill so i think a fezza would cost a bit more than that considering it costs 3-4 times as much

Talking of petrol.. did anyone ever read of the guy that went to petrol station to fill his 5L jerry can and ended up paying for 5.6 litres?
I don't think he was too happy.. Extrapolate that and if you think you're filling up 50L.. eeks! |
