Looking at the picture on the site the pipes have the same OEM restrictive 90Degree bend and the short pipe is overly complicated. ETS does not

I'm sat here thinking dealing with ETS is a mistake.

Firstly you get a quote from them and a couple of days later they say they got the postage wrong and its doubled.

The order is arranged and placed, the running about etc kindly done by Neil, and ETS immediately up the lead time to SIX weeks from 10 days.

Im not very happy after stumping up the cash (without fees I might add).
The car is due Spa and 'ring trips, and a French holiday road trip imminently and this lead time extension is not welcome at all!

Have I made a mistake dealing with ETS?
Not very impressed so far and considering my options today...

Steve

Steve,

I hope not, we have all spent time and effort to get this done. It is an opportunity for ETS to enter the UKarket via a UK distributor.

I don't think AR Design would do business with ETS if they don't deliver, albeit in a round about way.

The postage I think everyone got caught out by the Volumetric weight vs actual weight.

I think ETS are a typical manufacturer who make things better than they sell them. Realistically 4 weeks lead and then two weeks shipping and I have told ETS they can't be delayed more than 4 weeks.

Neil

Neil
what is the method that ETS actually uses to ship to the forum members?
by looking at 2 week for shipping then i guess it is by 'ship' because certainly nowadays for international packages it will only take maxium a week if using UPS or other air freight services.

before by reading the thread i would of assumed it is by air freight but it would be nice to know what kind of method they really paid for.

Hi Yoro35i,

The lead time is not a shipping issue. Average time from the US is 14 days.

The problem is ETS said a 5-10 days lead before shipping. They did a stock check and found no unallocated stock. It will take 3/4 weeks as they will be made to order.

They wont be 'penetrating' the UK market with six weeks lead time Neil.

Just have to chalk this up to experience I guess.
