Mine just changed status today 3/21.

if ur car's been finished for 2 weeks i think ur car may be closer to u than u think ... u shud give ur dealer a call and find out where exactly it is... coz mine was finished since 3/11 and the OC site say's "awaiting transport" but i called the dealer and he told me it is in a vessel already and on it's way.. he also told me that it's 2 weeks away..... give ur dealer a call.. it's worth it

Mine side released to carrier (03/24), to be transported at port of exit (bremerhaven?)
Released to carrier may not mean that the car is actually on it's way to the port of exit!...this is the murky part...
I think we all will be on the same vessel!
The 800# is about one day ahead of OC...and the the 800# I think is one day behind the actual, true, status. The ambiguity, I think, helps in coping with the wait....It is exciting!

Hello all, this is my first post. I'm curious how many weeks most people have waited for their special ordered BMW? Obviously those that ordered the car before the release date (ie ordering an E93 in December) will wait a lot longer. I'm planning on ordering my E93 335i in the summer, and I'd like to get it as a 2008 model, do you think that'll be possible? Does anyone know when they'll let you start order the 2008s? Thanks for your help, this is a GREAT forum!

Iwould contact my local BMW dealer NOW! This is what I did.I wanted my 335i for late May delivery but made contact with CA in Oct 06. I told him I wanted a 335i and directed him to TELL ME when I should order. Initially he was to get back to me in March. But because of demand and allocation slots we decided to put in order in Jan. Car was not picked up by BMW for Feb, but that was OK. Car built 3/13 and I will be getting the car a month and a half early. Financially it actually works out to my benefit. If you have a CA that you have worked with previously, contact him soon. If not, go to your local BMW dealer and start the process. BTW, expect to pay MSRP, so you might as well go to your local dealer, UNLESS they don't have an allocation slot for you. HAVING ALLOCATION SLOTS IS REALLY IMPORTANT, if you don't want to wait forever for your car.

Hey, thanks for replying so quickly. My hometown dealer where I bought my current BMW doesn't have any allocation slots for the next 2 months. I stopped by on Sunday (today) to check out the one and only 335i convertible they had. However I will not be purchasing the car through them. I'm going to be leasing the car through my business which gets all of its fleet vehicles from Enterprise Fleet Services. My rep, who's sold me dozens of trucks, said her boss special orders a new BMW convertible every few years through the company. She was the one that reccomended getting the 2008s when they come out, because it will raise the value of the car at the end of the lease, thus making my lease payments come out lower. Whatever the case, it's a tax write off, I'm in no great hurry to get a new car, I love my current bimmer to death. If only they'd let us get titanium silver with the cream interior......it looks like I'll have to go for arctic metallic, which seems nice anyways. My current 325i is titanium silver with the grey interior and I'd like to move to a lighter colored interior. Another reason I'm waiting until the summer is because my birthday is at the end of August, so I'd like to get the car delivered around then. Thanks for replying.

I did an ED. Dropped off my car in Munich on the 21st and I still was not showing up on the WW website when I entered my VIN.
I spoke today to Thomas, the gentleman that works at EHHARMS in Munich and he told me that their network and tracking systems are down so no updates.
Just wanted to mention that in case some of you have problems with tracking or are getting info that does not make sense.
For example we all can see by the pictures posted on other places on this blog that Integrity left while the website shows it as not having docked in Bremerhaven yet
I will update as soon as I know anyting new.

You've been at the port for a bit, you'll probably get on one of the next two boats. Even if you don't get on Cepheus Leader, Maersk Wave only gets in a day later! I just hope I don't have to wait another WHOLE week to get on Isolde. I think the waiting part is gonna be worse once the ship sails because it is so sloooooooow..........................

It looks like cars destined for California seem to hang around a bit at the port. Must be a higher number ofdeliveries for that area.
