+1, on the V2.02/STD, love it!!!. Still got power, but definitely smoother than of the 2.01.

I wish I could switch back'n forth between V2.01/93 and V2.02/STD93 on the fly, then it will be Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

Btw, mine has Steptronic Tranny.

Cobb - Can someone give us more details in terms of what changed between the v201 and v202 (regular, not v1 or v2) maps aside from being smoother? Interested in the details behind the scene so to speak.

Where V202 lacks is low rpm light throttle power. Car feels stock until you have the throttle at least 50% or more. I miss the original cobb maps (pre 2.XX maps)

This was what I did yesterday.

I uninstalled V2.01, and drove on stock map for about an hour, on the way to work. Then I installed V2.02/V1. I could feel the smoothness of power building up (and smile on my face).
At the end I switched to V2.02/STD. Wow what a different (HUGH smile on my face)!!!

If you switched from V2.01 to V2.02/V1 or V2 right away, you might just "feel" that the car lost power with the new map, because you still used to the powersurge from the old map.

Best is the go back to stock, and drive for an hour or so, then switch.

My 2 cents.

i'm not seeing the lack of power ya'll are talking about with the 2.02 std map vs 2.01 map. I touch the throttle on the 2.02 std map and my car goes sideways, literally 10% throttle puts major power down as compared to stock. The difference I noticed is that you don't get the jumping power delivery and unexpected WOT feel that was there in 2.01. When you hold the throttle at a specific spot it stays at that spot as far as power goes.

I will likely need to run the v1 or v2 at the track though, i'm sure they are similar to the beta 2.02 maps I've tried.

Alot of you guys are missing the REGULAR 2.02 93 OCT MAP!

There's a sluggish 2.02 "V1" and 2.02 "V2", 1 being for auto's and 2 for manuals, and then there is the REGULAR 2.02 91/93 MAPS!

The V maps are much too sluggish if you ask me, but the regular 2.02 map is great. Just like 2.01 but without the jumpiness.

I notice with the 2.01-1 map that my mileage is higher. I monitored boost and it's like 2-4 psi under normal operation until you really get in it. That resulted in much better mileage for my commute this morning. I would think it would be better for preserving oil temps as well. IMO it's a great sleeper map. It takes more pedal to get there but you get all the power at wot.

Dude, go to their site. Download the maps manually. Add them to your AP manually.

It's not that hard...

speaking of MPG i noticed its pretty bad on my car with the Cobb tune. I can't get the mpg gauge on the dash to read over 27mpg no matter what and thats cruising on the highway with barely any throttle. Most of the time i average about 12mpg lol

My exhaust tips are also more black than usual. I'm assuming this is because the cobb tune tends to run more rich compared to the piggies. Not a big deal since i didn't buy this tune to get better gas mileage

BTW my car is a 6MT

I had a recent 300mile round trip to test the mpg on the cobb. I was trying to hypermile and got 38 out (sunny) and 32 back (raining and windy). Included a pit stop in both directions and averaged 70mph.

I have now tried all three maps (93 octane), 202 std, 202v1, and 202v2. I felt 202 std has the closes power delivery to 201 map without the surges, it felt smoother (but not perfect). v1 and v2 feels more stock to me in comparison, especially in lower RPM. 202 std is almost perfect (needs some tweaking), it has available power at lower RPM, and lunges forward at 30% throttle.
