Since I grew up primarily in hawaii I was just considered a local boy. mostly everybody is mixed there. later in life in the mainland i identify with black since thats what im perceived as.

Assuming that you believe Abraham Lincoln wrote the emancipation of proclamation, no I don't idolize him or have any idols. There is a flaw in history of a man that wrote a letter to lincoln suggesting this emancipation prior to Abraham writing it. Also, the emancipation did not free all slaves, only those governed in the south.
